Why couldn’t they just deem it not icing and face off at center ice after the whistle?! These apologies mean jack shit.

Yeah thanks 🙏 seriously what a terrible call sucked the life out of our squad. But our team needs to not let that shit get in their heads

Crowd was on them all night after that. Every icing call they made after was a good cheer haha

Bettmans NHL for you. You decide who’s pulling the strings.

So when are they going to replay the game from that point on after the corrected call?

  6. hannah_nj

good thing nothing bad happened as an immediate result of that bad icing call! oh wait

  7. A win would have been the icing on the cake though.

This is happens. The boys will have to figure out a way to get passed this stuff and win anyways

  9. It was a bad call, but overall the officiating probably slightly favoured the Canucks tonight. They could’ve called a penalty or two on Hoglander, while Petey went down pretty easily to draw the one Canucks PP…

As a former ref myself, I can imagine he wanted the world to open up and swallow him whole after the goal. Worst feeling to know you’re responsible for a result.

    Still a bullshit call, though

  11. Okay so can we ask for 1 point please then? /s

There is a procedure if you know you made a bad icing call though.. just drop it at centre and nobody complains. Oh well… still can’t allow those goals and lack of effort afterwards.

This is great news! What’s the exchange rate on apologies to points?

A few times I’ve seen the officials huddle up and discuss if they messed up on a call and go to center but even then the boys shouldn’t be so mentally weak when a call goes against them.

The HIGHEST level of hockey having a linesman Fuck up the easiest call less than 20 feet in front of him. Absolutely unacceptable

Too little, too late. The Canucks have to stop crapping out after a bad call.
