2.98 goals a game however the big story is of course the amount of goals that they are allowing last year the Buffalo Sabers were easily one of the worst teams in the entire NHL in terms of goenda Team defense this year however the sabes have clamped down defensively if only they could have
Gotten the scoring that they got last year this year it would be completely different however the Sabres have clamped down defensively even more so in these last 12 games allowing ing only 26 goals that’s just 2.2 goals per game over the last 12 games which is well below their season average of
2.95 so this defensive team who has played pretty well defensively all year long has played even better defensively over these last 12 games giving the sabes every opportunity to climb in the standings and now only be three points out of the final playoff spot as I mentioned the Sab overall team
Defense has been Leaps and Bounds better this season however a major reason the sabes are even in discussion in terms of the playoff race is that they have gotten consistently incredible play from their now number one goenda Lucan this is a far cry from the beginning of the
Season in which we all thought UPL was destined to be the number three goalie on the depth chart however Lucan in has grabbed the reins of the Sabers net and has forced himself into the number one goenda Sabers and not only has he been the best goaltender
For the Buffalo Savers this season but he has been one of the best goalies in the entire NHL UPL currently sits tied for fourth in the NHL in goals against average at 2.38 he’s currently tied for ninth in save percentage at a 915 and he’s currently tied for third in
The NHL with five shutouts uko Paka Lucan has been nothing short of spectacular this season and if he Contin to give the Buffalo Sabers the quality starts that he has all season long Buffalo has a real opportunity to continue to gain Traction in this playoff race and gain ground on the
Teams in front of them Buffalo has an opportunity to potentially pull within one point one point on of the last playoff spot this Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings which is one of the teams that they are chasing however they’re going to have to do something that they have not done all
Season long and that is win their fourth game in a row there is no time like the present if you are the Buffalo SA as if they lose this game they won’t just stay three points out of a potential playoff spot they will drop down to Five Points out of that last playoff

Mittelstadt was only the top scorer because Tage, Skinner, and Tuch have been injured. Mittelstadt is not a team top scorer unless key players are injured. Okposo was not leading the team in the right direction. We are seeing the Sabres salute the fans again after wins. Also, we saw this last year with the Sabres making scratching and clawing for points at the end just to be a point behind. I'm not holding my breath this year.

I have hope though.. no matter what happens, this season was a fail. KA shelled out huge contracts for potential 1st and 2nd line centers who both took a step back. Progression in the nhl is not linear, and perhaps cozens and thompson will grow this offseason, but without big jumps from all their top 6 forwards and consistency with the rest of the roster this team will be fighting for wild card spots and not truly contending for the cup
I love how they are playing for sure and hope they can get one of the final spots. Just wish 3 to 5 more wins before would have us sitting pretty. But a late push is better than no push. Go Sabre's !!! 😎👍🏒

Up coming road trip is HUGE ! After the must win game in Detroit the boys go to Seattle Vancouver Edmonton and then Calgary. Hoping they can Win at least 3 of those games.
Last season I went to the CBJ game in feb and the Sabres were terrible and lost in regulation! When I left I said this loss could cost the Sabres a playoff spot and as we all know they missed the playoffs by 1 point last season ! I just hope the two earlier losses against Anahiem dont play a part in costing them a playoff spot this year . Thanks for the video !

UPL played second fiddle yes, but he was our most consistent goalie last year as well. Even better than Craig Anderson. I believe he had the most wins last year of all the goalies. Battling injuries, not enough net time, jumping around into the minors, and really no faith in him he needed. Not to mention he is in his early 20s, and like defensemen, goalies take along time to mature their games and adapt to NHL caliber shooters. As long as he continues to get stronger and less injury prone, I believed he was always going to be in the conversation of future 1st string goalies for the team. Nobody but Levi also holds that level in my mind. A UPL and Levi Tandem will make this team elite. Levi is going through the same song and dance that UPL did. Goalies need reps and time. I can hear the LEEEEEE and LUUUUU chants now

Yea, they could win out rest of season and still the odds are against Sabres making playoff. To damn bad. My feelings are if they don’t start next season playing at high level in first couple months to make a big move with coaching. Otherwise a lot of prospects and top players will be gone again. ..and the cancer will kill off the rest.
