I really like the flexibility this gives us.
I am not sure how we run 3 guys who can’t clear waivers but, if that’s what they want to do it certainly is possible.
If they want to move on from Freddie next year to get some assets back and free up cap they can do that as well.

To resign is to quit or retire from a position. You can also resign yourself to something inevitable, like death — meaning you just accept that it’s going to happen.
Re-sign verb sign (a document) again. engage (a sports player) to play for a team for a further period. “that win backed up my insistence that we re-sign him”
