That about sums it up. Another great levelheaded bite from Maurice.
When you’re first in the league and playing as consistent as the cats are.. it’s really not a big deal to lose one when you are missing your 1D, 2C, and a talented winger. If this were the playoffs, that game would have been very, very different. No worries unless this happens for like 3 more games.
It was bound to happen. We were down our 2C, a dynamic winger and a top pairing D which resulted in a few additions to the line up and changes to lines. Had we played a non playoff team we might have squeaked it out but this was against a top tier team with a chip on their shoulder. We haven’t really played them at full strength this season and last game against them was won in the final seconds of a poorly reffed 3rd period. Glad the boys got a loss so they can learn from this and better position themselves in the future. Funny how we roll damn near every team for 2 months and one loss with a depleted roster and we’re all of a sudden cooked?? lol
