Sure it was disappointing for the Leafs those again in round 1 game 7. It's stung for sure. But I didn't work myself up about if the Leafs would win or not. I was hopeful. No matter what tho, I will always be a Leafs fan. I was born into a family who all cheered for the Leafs and still do. I don't care what ppl think. I don't care if ppl make fun of me or the Leafs. I can poke fun at yhe Leafs too. It's all fun and games. But I'm a Leafs fan for life. Stanley cup or no stanleycup. I'm not embarrassed to admit It. For me it's the Leafs or no hockey at all. I am currently cheering for Tampa Bay for 2 reasons #1 I HATE the Habs (yes I live in Canada) but I absolutely can't stand the Habs. Also it's my son's Favorite team. The Habs don't stand a chance against Tampa. Tonight's game was sad. Canadiens has 43 on goalie and only got 1 puck past Vaskileski. I betting that Tampa is gonna sweep the Canadiens.
Simmons Is a good guy and $900,000 is a good deal. But in reality he is nothing. The Leafs have no heart "AT ALL" …..Im now Krakens fan. Leafs can just be the losers that they are. They seem awesome at not having any grit.
All these stupid million dollar contracts going out to players that should retire, why dont they take these millions and get a player worth the money. Another reason I stopped being a fan after they lost to Montreal. The last place team in the north.
Simmonds is a good NHL player. He, Speza are ones who are needed to win the cup. Too bad, Leafs, seems, are going to loose Zak Hyman. P.S. Hopefully number 97 will be available for newcomer

The better question is "Do you not understand," that our GM, touted to be innovative and to have access to creative performance information keeps signing the likes of Vesey, Simmonds, Thornton, etc. This is what he has to offer? The same decision making skills a guy who hasn't watched hockey for ten years but on a whim goes into a Yahoo fantasy pool has? We have to sign guys at cheap price points and continuing to choose guys way past their best before dates or simply bad (see- Vesey) is a fail.
And Nashville is better off without Wayne Simmonds. You guys have fun…at least he produces a little with TOR. Sorry you can't shake off the curse…I wanted you to go far too.

I think if you can have a redo for this coming season?…… Well if we can have a redo with the heart and soul guys that we acquired to inject some more power and drive?….hey dangle? Wouldn't you agree that this might allow them to be a bit more systemically sound? Ala a certain local Florida sports team that most leafs fans want to root for? Cause you can't root for the habs right?…right?…..? I know them and and the Bruins might be the only teams that are on my no go list goes.
