I was at this game. Crowd exploded like it was a playoff goal, the “CONNOR BROWN” chants started for the rest of the night and the standing ovation lasted for 5 minutes after the goal. i love Oil Country
Much respect for your honest observation mr.hawkey
I am also impressed at the way the young lady in the beginning of the video did not spill a drop of her drink while enthusiastically cheering and performing high fives
THE GAME WE WERE WAS ALL CHANTING CONNOR BROWN IT WAS AWESOME EVEN UP TOP
I rewound the game last night and watched this 3 times. I am a lifelong oilfan and this made me cry. I went and woke up my wife to tell her the news. Even today when i watched this youtube i cried.
I am so damn happy for connor brown. So so happy. He has never complained. He kept working hard. He kept finding ways to make impact without scoring. He was the epitome of resilience. He earned every damn second of that standing O. Huge respect to the fans that were at the game and gave this guy his well deserved dues.
I was there. It was really special, the place erupted and the standing ovation afterwards was a very neat moment. Even after that, people were chanting his name right to the end. Walking out of the building the fans were chanting his name too. Made me very proud to be an Oilers fan.
Don't think it was disbelief as much as "Please don't let this goal get called back."
it was just such a good game, like it was just objectively an awesome game, so to add brown's goal, just solidified the night for all of us
Well 4 million dollars for 1 goal that is wery good in 55 games and for god sake dont forget that he have 5 assist also so I think it was a very good trade to bringing in connor brown and leting costin and bjugstad go insted 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢even a blind chicken can find some corn sometimes also llolll
What an absolute beauty
Class.
pre watch predication .hes gonna talk about conner browns goal and skinners first save
What’s even better is that Brown “Scored” earlier this year but Kane was called for goaltender interference and Brown’s goal was called back
Also Mark Spector is a bum and was a dick to Brown in the post game interview saying that “scoring hasn’t been a big part of your game” when Brown has been a 20+ goal scorer in multiple seasons
Image getting paid millions of dollars and celebrated like a hero when you contribute nothing lol
As a Leafs fan i have also been following him this year, was bummed when we let him go. To the Oilers fans, what is going on with him this year? Just bad luck? Is his injury lingering maybe?
great video, thanks for pointing this out!!
Brown is a beaut. Miss him on the Leafs. Good on him. Hope he gets a few more, lots of season left.
He robbed ovi 3 times
Hockey is Canada's game and Canadians see the game differently then most people and specifically Oilers fans
i had tickets for the game last night i gave them away because i wasnt feeling up to going and boy do i regret that lmao just my damn luck
Love to see it.
I was there that game was wicked, first time I've jumped for joy at an NHL goal since I was a kid. Was sitting right beside the caps goal and saw it trickle in and just lost it hahaha
Watching that game live and all was thinking was they better throw their hats on the ice. Was very excited they did. Lucky for brown hymans hatrick wasn’t awarded to him until about 2 mins left in the game. The fans may have already lost their hats lol
This does not happen in most American cities. They really know fk all about hockey
It was a great game to be at that ovation lasted what felt like forever
I was at the game and the sound was deafening. I couldn’t even hear my own thoughts. Everyone was so happy clapping and cheering. What really got me though, was seeing Brown on the big screen smiling. I swear I almost teared up, felt emotional all around. I don’t go to NHL games often, and when I do, it’s never really that special. This will be my favourite memory of attending a game in person.
Loved Connor Brown when he was a Leaf. Super happy to see Oilers fans show him some love. Classy move.
That’s what a sophisticated fan base looks like
I watched this on TV last night, and I'm not the kind of person who cheers loudly, but this was the most animated I've been since the last playoff series the Oilers won. Every game, I was just hoping Brown would get a goal. I was so happy for him. Best goal of the game, even if it wasn't pretty. It was the best because it was by Brown. You could see everyone smiling on the bench for him. Just absolute joy for him getting this goal.
Can’t say anything negative about the guy despite the scoring drought. He’s an excellent player to have on the roster and he is especially responsible in the defensive end
Nobody ever accused oilers fans of not being fans
I was holding back the tears.
I was watching this game and me, my dad, and my brother went ballistic. We've all been talking about how much he needed a goal. He's been playing well, but he needed that goal and now my family can't jokingly call him Conner Can't-Score-Brown.
Yeah screw the softies that leave to go elsewhere cause they just can't take it. Fact is they will never know what it is to play for a bunch of people who actually care about them and the game.
Buddy calm down. It’s Washington. Edmonton can’t defend the broad side of a barn. They won’t even make the finals.
Perfect analysis
It was pretty cool for sure
Shout out to Kaner as well for setting up Brownie as he even called it before the game when interviewed that he wanted to help Brown get his first of the year. He even called it when he mentions, it was probably going to be a greasy one. Brown, the Oil and the fans rocked it last night!
2nd round exit, will lose to any of the teams coming out of the central
Nothing too special… Yea, right. It was huge for the guy. Firstly it was a $4m goal, but more importantly, hopefully this is the weight off his back, and now he starts adding points as part of the depth and exactly what he was paid to do…. just in time for the post season push.
Best fans in the league despite what morons in comments sections like to say here on youtube.
As an Oilers fan born and raised it was awesome to see.
What goes up must come down, the Caps are in rebuild, but we did win a Stanley Cup in 2018, so……….
Fans have been following the Connor Brown story because of how much of a good guy he's been through all the struggles. He's hit posts, he's had goals called back. We're happy he finally got it and he got it infront of the crowd that wanted it for him.
So happy for brown
The guys a relentless player. Grinder. Creates so many plays for the team. Works hard. So happy for him
You rock man
I lived in edmonton back in 2012 and 2013 and it was 2 of the best years of my life. There's something magical about that place. The people made it amazing. Miss it there.
