He got nothing when he intentionally tried to kill another player, taking strides and jumping into his head. But 4 games now for an accident. This league is a joke. Mentioning Wilson just reminds us all of how much of a joke this league really is. I have zero respect for any results or cup winners over the past seven years. The league doesn't care about who plays the best hockey. It's because of who they think their audience should be. They think the mma audience is gonna lift their ratings. They don't attract the audience of any other team sports. They don't want fans to see teams. They want fans to see NYR=Rempe, WSH=Wilson, etc. They don't care for McD. They don't care for teams. They wanna sell an effing wrestling arena. For the league hockey is not a team sports. They will always promote intent to injure. Get a goon and the league will prepare officiating in your favor. It's a disgrace. I've lost all respect for this league.

Money talks… the NHL and NHLPA should meet to discuss better fines. $50k first fine, $100k second, $200k third, $400k fourth, $800k fifth… etc. 50% of the fine should go to NHLPA to support their greed. make it unprofitable to break the rules in the NHL!!! Suspensions shouldn't be the biggest threat.. money should be. (suspensions shouldn't end, but they should be secondary) in my opinion
NHL base salary is $750k per season… that is roughly $9k per game. a maximum $5k fine means it's still profitable for players to "build their brand" as goons. they still earned $4k that game while breaking the rules and hurting a star player.
Rempe needs to go take his skirt off… and fight MacDermid. Zero respect for him after that game.
If Crosby gets to the end of his contract and still can play (I think this is a high probability) but the pens don't give him a contract then he should retire as a penguin. No sense in bouncing around for 1-3 more years. He already has all the money he needs he is just playing right now for the love of his team and the sport.

At first I liked the kid. It was great seeing some hard hitting, scrappy old time hockey again, but now all I can think is wow this kids an idiot and is going to cripple someone playing like this.
As a Wilson fan, I wouldn’t want Rempe on my team. Atleast make it seem like it wasn’t intentional. Blowing kisses as you’re walking away from injuring a player… crazy.
Morgan Reilly payed 770 games and had one cross checking that was questionably dangerous and gets 5 game suspension ?.? Tempe has 10 games and mega minutes in the box so he gets only 4 games for attempting to hurt another player???? This doesn’t make sense he should’ve got 15 plus.
