Joshua was placed on LTIR, retroactive. This means it could be dated back to the 1st game he missed (Feb 16th) It doesnt mean he will be out another 10 games. He has already missed the 10 game / 24 day window so it will not affect his return date.
Putting Joshua on LTIR is a routine thing once a player misses more than 24 days. It retroactively gives cap relief. That deadline just passed a few days ago which probably means it won't affect his return. They've done this more than once already this season only for them to return a few days later.
Joshua moving LTIR is just an accounting move. He's been away long enough that it doesn't affect him coming back early and Alvin gets some kind of cap room.
Unsung hero for the Canucks this year has to be Dakota. Who would have thought we would miss a 3rd liner this much!?!? So unbelievably happy for the kid, I always like an underdog story.
