* The Hawks traded Beauvillier for a 5th and lost Katchouk on waivers.
* Zaitsev returned from a knee injury.
* The Hawks successfully challenged to overturn a Caps goal for offsides.

It’s amazing that with how many players on this team are close to being out of the NHL, they put in zero effort.

Glad this one’s over. Never in my life did I think a Hawks game thread would get brigaded by the Jared Tinordi Fan Club, but here we are.
What else is there to say about this team? When 15 out of 20 guys out there phone it in every night, this is the result. I cannot wait for the offseason, tbh. These chucklefucks don’t deserve to play with Bedsy.
E: on the bright side, the Sharks won tonight–so we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.
I’ll be very upset if KD doesn’t add some sort of offensive threat in the offseason. We got the experience to mentor this last offseason, getting Hall back should help, and the default high draft pick will be something, but we need some known quantity to take pressure off Bedard and whoever we take.

Well if we get Bedard help he’s going to be a monster. 4 sog, 14+ shot attempts, 2 takeaways, 18% relative corsi, multiple hits, runs the powerplay better than the qb, and dirty fucking dangles.

Richardsons scheme is, if they don’t have the puck they collapse 4 deep on the goalie like it’s a PK. Then the other team passes the puck at will and pepper the goal w shots until they score.
This whole system is designed to fail. It’s purposely done to lose regardless of who is playing.
