I don't think his name is mentioned enough, but I'd love if Ottawa could somehow snag Benoit Groulx out of Tampa, he's been head coach of their AHL team for years now but lets not forget that he coached the Gatineau Olympique's before that, when Claude Giroux was playing there
100% agree with Marc about the optics of them having a good time off the ice while losing games. I have been a huge grinch about seeing any of these guys having a good time off the ice this season because I want to imagine that they are just sitting there pissed off in their hotel rooms, staring at the wall doing nothing but thinking about how badly they want to get back on the ice and win the next game.
I understand that on days off they're going to do the things that normal people do on their days off like golf and go to concerts with their buddies, but they need to read the room and not be posting that stuff on the internet, especially during a season like this. Most people don't post on social media when they go golfing or to a concert, but these guys are making the conscious decision to let everyone know that they're having a great time while the fans suffer from another lost year. Makes my blood boil tbh.

I love when Meth makes the point of how beneficial a downtown arena would be to the on-ice product on top of just better vibes at the games themselves. Part of me feels like this team isn't gonna pull itself up until the downtown rink finally happens. I hope they do before, but damn this team needs to get out of Kanata.
