Marat could bring some speed but Bogosian is going to be an anchor…not the good kind I am afraid! He was rated in the 25 worst D Men since like 2008. Even though he looks to be almost net zero/neutral. I haveendlessly listed my issues with keeping him. Billy seems lock on staying slow and undisciplined. They will continue to get tons of penalties mostly as a punishment for being so weak down the middle and chasing pucks for possession got us in tripping problems. I was hoping to try to improve up center a little and try to get some speed by getting rid of Johansson. We're stuck with old and slow with no discipline!
Seth, your guest on this episode did okay… I think you should probably only have adult guests from now on. This was a hard watch.
By noon Thursday most of the big ticket trades will likely be in. I expect to hear they have offers on the Deweys. Duhaime brings speed, grinder grit (needs to learn to fight better!) But brings incredible energy, PK, forecheck. Dewar can win faceoffs, has good speed, shorthanded scoring ability, PK Skills. Not so physical but goes to the paint.
I would have a hearty chuckle at Duhaime or Dewar bringing back a 2nd round pick. I would laugh my "butt" off if one of them brought a 1st.
At the moment, I think the Wild are best served standing pat on Gus and Spurgeon, while listening to offers on Middleton. It's probably better in the short-term to keep all three (esp. Middleton), but if some GM is going to go nuts and offer you the Jeannot ransom….
