Calgary Trades Hanifin to Vegas for Miromanov, 2025 1st , Conditional 3rd, in Three Way Trade

The Flyers are apparently the broker in this one. Vegas just beefed up their blueline which was necessary given their recent poor play.

  1. Cmon Shannon nobody is mad that Vegas has other teams retain salary. I love your channel, but you are the king of strawmaning

  2. Absolutely love the VGK haters for hating on another team for their own GM's incompetence. Focus on your GM that could've made a similar deal but didn't have the >>>lls to make it. Best top 6 D in the league… by far, cup is attainable to this.

  3. Owners are happy… because in the event something similar happens to them (see guy out with LASCERATED SPLEEN) they can about replace that guy vs have a 'playoff salary cap' where that 5-7 years of building a team, gets close every year, due to a significant injury.

  4. Anyone complaining about Vegas's double retention and is a fan of Toronto, Edmonton, Dallas, and whoever else will use it next deserves a slap on the face with a tortilla lmao. If the owners are fine with it, it's a feature, not a loophole.

  5. Trades are good for business. Fro the players its more money to go around and more chances at making the playoffs. I hate how Vegas is doing it but Shannon is right all the retained salary is cap circumvention.

  6. Honestly the whole Retention thing should be illegal. NO third party bs u can make the move or u can't. Or at the very least instead of just picks it has to be an established player thats moved (maybe one of those guys on league min or ahl prospect etc)

  7. Imagine Tampa being able to snag him…IF WE DIDNT BLOW THE HAUL ON JEANNOT (who’s now on IR again this season🙄🤬)!!!

Yes I’m really salty at that trade now. The best thing JBB can do is deal Sheary if he can find a way to and see how many more draft picks he can accrue.

  8. Some might say that the Flames did this deal because Vegas offered the best return, but I’m fairly certain they did this as middle finger to the rest of the league and all their fanbases when they realized they weren’t making the playoffs…

  9. How dare Calgary get draft picks and do start pick circumvention when ever other team does that. ;P

  10. Calgary doing right Their current team been below par for two years.Leta see if Conroy can get them in playoffs next year.Flames are roughly three games out with 20 games remaining this year.

  11. Ya know what would make a great and timely video? Discussing how wildly wrong all the so-called "insiders" from north of the border were today. Repeatedly and laughably wrong. What a bunch of clickbait pander bear charlatans, and nobody seems to notice. Their "work" day was BRUTAL. So exposed as phonies and clowns. Can we talk about that for once?

  12. So, even if Vegas loses the first round but wins the second, Calgary’s draft pick still improves – good deal for them!

  13. Vegas continues to be the most hated team in the league. Ofcourse they get a bunch of cap to stack up their team when it looks like they are falling down the standings. This team always gets favourable circumstances. Yes stone being injured is bad but now it let's then load up for the playoffs and ofcourse stone will be back for the playoffs

  14. I said i felt bad for the players, guys, not the fans or team. I understand why Conroy is doing what he's doing ,im sure the players on the team hate it all! Lol.But anyways go Flames!

  15. Calgary pretty much bolstering several Western Conference contenders as roadblocks to stop Edmonton:
Vegas: Hanifan (Potential 1st or 2nd round opponentt of the Oilers)
Vancouver: Lindholm, Zadorov (Potential 1st or 2nd round opponent of Oilers)
Dallas: Tanev (Potential conference final opponent of the Oilers)

Strategically setting up roadblocks to make your most hated rival's path the cup difficult, while getting a haul in these trades to improve the team's prospect pool and draft picks.

  16. The league wants Vegas to have every opportunity to compete for a Stanley Cup. We need to call it like it is. I understand the outrage from Canadian fans but in a world where sports betting is shaping the outcomes of major team sports, it stands to reason for the gambling capital of the world to have the edge while Bettman pretends they aren’t gaming the system no matter how legal it appears to be. Long term it will backfire but that’s the point, Vegas isn’t concerned about building the future because they don’t have to.

  17. Why care about hockey when vegas gets what it wants, tired of seeing my team be successful with a better record than Vegas only to get ruined by the trade deadline because Mark Stone always gets injured right before

  18. There a lot retaining salary cap involved in many teams during trades, but next year the salary cap will be $87 Million and the following year will be $92 Million. So that what I heard.

  19. Vegas ruined the jets only chance so far from going to the stanley cup finals and been a thorn on them ever since they existed, if any fans hates vegas the most it’s jets fans
