To be honest I was kinda surprised with LA's pressure. But like the old expression goes "you can't win a game in the 1st but you sure can lose 1".
I just can’t wait for the next few season when Zadina, Hronek and Veleno join the squad. For anyone that doesn’t know Veleno currently has 54 points in 28 games in the Qmjhl. Leads league in points per game and in his last 9 games played he has put up 31 points. Yes you read that right. Also Already has 22 goals which was what he had all of last season. The kid is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Larkin is gonna be one of the greats if he keeps improving game after game season after season how he has. Cholowski is a solid young Dmen can't believe how smart he is on the ice can't wait to see him develop physically.

Howard has really taken a leap in his goal-tending from last year to this year.
So after seeing play like this, are the Wings really destined to this year and a few years to follow of not making the playoffs and being a trade deadline seller instead of buyer? Currently at .500, they have the most important piece, a goaltender who can get them to the playoffs and I'd argue could even get them some depth in the playoffs. They have a quick, young forward lineup with lots of offensive creativity, centered around two young superstars, Larkin and Mantha, who can make some magic. If they can just get some upgrade to the blueline and find some solution to the JA contract, this team shouldn't be that far away from contention… then again, maybe I just want that too much. Fan since the early 80's when they sucked, watched them become the best dynasty ever, and the past few years have been so depressing.
I don't know if its something you'd be interested in but I'd enjoy seeing Griffins game highlights also.
