[Johnston] Jim Rutherford tells me the Podkolzin move is simply “paper work” ie related to setting Abbotsford’s Calder Cup roster on Friday. Team really happy with his first two games back in NHL. He’ll play a role again.

Wholly unnecessary, the NHL playoffs last longer than the AHL ones do. He’s not going to have time to play for Abbotsford after lifting the cup

It’s nice having a GM that’s willing to make moves, meaning you have to question every little roster decision as potentially being involved in a trade – for once! It’s been a decade since we were in on every major player that was available, and were scrambling to upgrade our roster in any way possible.
