    Score: 10 –

    Pros: Lindy is gone

    Cons: everything else

Will I ever be happy again?

  2. Jballzs13

I don’t think it got past 6 last season, so this is extra painful.

Yeah, 7-8 for me. Further outside the race, but despite the loss, they played with fire last night against the top team, and it was another clear example of goaltending and a timely defensive miscue being the thorn. That said, we’ve also shown sparks throughout the season, only to end up where we are now.

Full disclosure, I think missing the playoffs will be a 9 for me, especially considering the adversity (injuries and loss of McLeod); 10 being reserved for complete implosion

    9. We still have 2/3 Hughes bros. Future will be ok

  5. Idk man i think this meter is flawed. 10? You’re saying this is worse than the 20 win seasons? You’d say this is on par or worse than how sharks fans are feeling? We have a great young core for the future of this franchise, thats a positive. It hurts missing out on playoffs but we’ve been thru wayyyy worse that would break this scale if you think this constitutes a 10. Hell I had more pain watching my Giants last year than the Devils this year

Shouldn’t that marker be on the beige wall to the right of the chart and photo?

I’d say I’m at a 7. I was at a 10 after the Washington game a couple weeks ago and I hit a 10 again after the ducks game over the weekend because it was just a hilariously painful way to lose (3 second left penalty shot at 1 am), but now that all hope for this season is lost it doesn’t hurt as much. I’m just looking forward to everybody bouncing back next year, seeing the new coach, and getting this team back where we belong

I’m pretty mellow about the season at this point. I was convinced playoffs were hopeless as soon as the got blown out by the caps right after the stadium series game. Sucks to be the biggest disappointment in the league, but that comes with the territory of expectations and I expect them to bounce back next year in a big way. Just praying we can find a league average starter in the summer along with new depth defenseman and a 3rd line centre.

  9. I’m sitting at 8.

Lindy firing brought me down to 7. Green and Fitz pressers brought me down to 6. I felt confident in their transparency.

The goaltending brought me back up to a 9. This organization will not be a contender until we figure out goaltending.

Timo looking like a beast out on the ice last night brought me down to an 8.

    Thursday will be interesting

I definitely buy the 10. Considering the expectations of at least being a playoff team, there’s so much disappointment in this season. Sure, you can point to the injuries, goaltending, and perceived coaching issues and despite all that at the all star break being in striking distance. But now think about another offseason, everyone being a year older, who knows what other teams are better next year…what’s the guarantee we are back in the playoffs next year? I’m turning 40 next season…I lost alot in my thirties (sports loss) …I don’t have time for these seasons right now!!

    So yes 10.

Can’t argue with a 10. Based on expectations the team has failed in ways I couldn’t imagine. We all experience pain differently. I find that laughing at how ridiculous the situation is helps me.

  12. Worth_Average_9652

We need a higher bar bc my pain exceeds this

  13. guywithshades85

Short term: things are gonna suck

Long term: we better get a goaltender

  14. I’m sitting at 9 until we’re mathematically eliminated, then it officially becomes a 10.

  15. Redditfront2back

Stick a fork in them, they never got in a groove

  16. -PoeticJustice-

I’d say a solid 9, only because they fired Lindy. Other team’s fans feel bad for us at this point… hopefully the night is darkest before the dawn
