God I hate the Penguins
Well, the two-game break from severe and consistent defensive mistakes was fun. I will always cherish that.
It’s like the entire team decided to haze Jet Greaves. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a goalie get hung out to dry 5 times like that.
Good thing we rolled 7D and benched one of our best playmakers so that we could watch our overpaid defensemen make some of the most boneheaded plays of the night
According to Portzline, we are 0-9-5 in our last 14 games in Pittsburgh.
We’re probably like 5-28 overall against them in the regular season this decade.
McCarthy needs to be fucking fired as soon as Vincent is.
In the grand scheme of things, I’d rather not pass the Coyotes or the Senators, but man would a 3 game win streak and beating the pens at home been a huge boost to my morale.
Severson is still in the running for worst CBJ signing ever, Peeke is still overpaid, and Proverov is a liability
1. 11/7 didn’t work.
2. Greaves got let down by the players in front of him.
3. I miss Fantilli.
What a sloppy game. Feel bad for Jet. Some decent offense in the second period. Confounding passes in the 3rd. Penguins weren’t even playing that well either.
About what you expect. Some promising things, terrible turnovers and defensive work. Feels bad for Jet, still desperately waiting and hoping for the defensive prospects to develop so we can move on from more of the chaff.

I don’t think the game was that bad. I’m mean of course there’s gonna be some people that are going to be negative, but that’s some of the people from hockey Reddit are.
And I’m not even convinced they’re actually hockey fans. I think it’s just kids that look at this game like it’s a giant dick measuring contest between cities, and they use to justify their ridiculous shit talk.
Exact same type of people to say “Oh Johnny is terrible now” when he’s been fantastic.

It’s a regular season hockey game, and a season where we literally can’t make the playoffs and some of you are going to bitch and cry like it’s the end of the world.
We haven’t won in Pittsburgh in so long (edit: 2015) and our coach decides to sit one of better offensive forwards to send a message. I think it means a lot more to this organization to try to get over that embarrassing hump than to tell Marchy to stop being cute, just my two cents.

Defense issues were obvious, but Jenner has really disappeared the last few games. He and Johnny were absolutely buzzing – need that back.
I went into this one with extra low expectations and I’m still coming away disappointed
Another one of those nights where nothing (and I mean NOTHING) went right. A few bright spots here and there, sure, but overall this is one we wanna forget.
If our defenseman hadn’t scored twice in our own neck, we would have gone into the end with a tie.

If Vincent going to bench players for bad plays he needs to be consistent and bench half the team for bad plays tonight. Hell, he should bench himself for starting an extra dman and still allowing 5 goals
