I’m 106 years old dammit. What do you think I’ll do?

  2. Fireislander

The only way to read this is that Lou is going to trade away everyone and call up the entire Bridgeport team

  3. DrTurtles

I don’t want an absolute fire sale, but we could certainly use some addition through subtraction this season. There goes that hope I guess lol

  4. This guy needs to go immediately, I despise him

No doubt this will get the doomer and gloomers panties in a wad…

I am utterly *gobsmacked* that the GM of a team on a 3 game win streak on the periphery of the playoffs would say this! Doesn’t he know we’re supposed to TANK?!

  7. After winning our last 3 we definitely can’t sell anymore, but we also can’t spend more than a 2nd Round Pick on getting any player

  8. Picking up a younger proven player with an extension in place is always a win. Thats not a trade deadline deal, thats a “hockey move.” Im with it, for now.

Team has clearly taken a step under Roy. Might be too little too late but I understand. Don’t think we’ll be huge buyers and no real reason to be sellers. Makes sense to me.

Why would they? “Hey we’ve won some games- LOU’S PLAN IS BACK ON TRACK BABY!!” Lou literally built a culture of mediocrity and delusion. Thats the brand of this hockey club. That’s what the fanbase has eaten up. And ownership couldn’t care less about this particular portfolio investment.

    New York Islanders.

Nice to know, will multiplying and dividing be covered?

Why is this crypt keeper always so cryptic?

Can’t believe that an NHL GM is refusing to punt on a competitive season, and refusing to start a rebuild when his very talented core will be in or entering their primes in the next 3-5 years. It’s simply unfathomable!

“Lou, why did you say you’d only add to the roster and not subtract than proceed to get rid of Mayfield”-reporter

“Like I said. I was planning on adding to the team.”-Lou

Here’s a thought: Apply that to “draft picks”

  16. berniem10

I’m fine with buying, but you can’t trade the first round pick again. The franchise is already set back years from Lou’s shortsightedness. The owners need to step in here

I think Duclair is the obvious choice. A fast forward with a bit of finish to his game. Guentzel is going to cost more than we’ve got and I don’t think Washington would trade Mantha to us.

It allows us to put all our centers back into place. No disrespect to MacLean, this 3 game winning streak doesn’t happen if he can’t handle it.

And then a bottom pair D I guess?

If we are going to add anything

Bummer for those “they should trade Brock Nelson for a late 1st round pick and a middling prospect and try to compete again in 2030” types.
