When I was in college getting my masters, the month when the Hawks took on the Canucks in the playoffs the professor for my class walked in in a Canucks jersey and I walked in in a Hawks jersey and think we almost had a donnybrook right there in the classroom. It got progressively worse as the Hawks went on that three game win streak to cap it.
I should check on old Roy…

I was at the Kipprusoff retirement the other night and Jamie McLennan (Kipper’s goalie coach at the time) told a story about Kipper getting absolutely lit up against the Blackhawks one night. I think he allowed 7.
Jamie approached Kipper on the plane ride home to see how he was holding up. Asked him how he was feeling and Kipper’s response was “do do da do do da do do da do da do da do.” Thought that was pretty hilarious.

You won’t understand the pure bliss or pure heartbreak that is associated with this song in the NHL without having been around for those years. The only thing I can think of that’s close is Boston playing Kernkraft 400 around the same time, but that song wasn’t exclusive to them.

Kesler was the ONLY one whom I ever wanted on Chicago. Was really hoping we would’ve acquired him back in 2014. He had “Chicago, Pittsburg, and Anaheim” as his 3 teams he wanted to go. Unfortunately for him, the first 2 on his list won a combined 3 Stanley cups after that trade.

Canucks fan, all time awesome rivalry. Confirming this song still lives in our heads, but we did slay the dragon eventually.
For those of you who don’t get to see Bieksa’s commentary on HNIC. Check it out. Absolute beauty.
Enjoy bedsy for a few years boys. He wants to come home. 👍🏻👍🏻

Canucks fan coming in peace. Whoever doesn’t remember this rivalry should watch Jon Shorthouse call game 7, the relief in his voice is palpable. crazy how there’s no record of the finals ever happening.

Take me back, man.
I Took it for granted. Wish I made sure I watched every minute of every game, because that might be the most electric dynasty I’ll get to see in my lifetime. Even if it’s not, there will always be something special about it.
