  1. Sadly this might be the end of Kuznetsov’s career in the NHL. I can’t see anybody taking him unless it’s a league minimum deal after his current contract is up.

  2. Wore my Kipper jersey out to dinner tonight, can't wait to watch them raise that number, the man got me into hockey. Forever grateful for him.

  3. With only next year on Kuznetsov contract, he would be a smart claim by a rebuilding team. Grab him for free, give him minutes and let him score, then flip him at next year's deadline when he's a pending UFA and you can retain. He would probably be one of the top players available at the deadline next year.

  4. Not sure kuznetsov has been free falling for years. Point per game player two years ago and 55 points last year. This has been his only terrible season.

  5. Kuznetsov will refuse to report to Hershey, at which time the Caps will have standing to terminate his contract.

  6. Kuznetsovs play has dropped off badly, and no one wanted to trade for him. Us Caps fans are grateful for the cup run and the memories he gave us but time moves on unfortunately

  7. Kuznuts gave Maryland the best summer ever. Dude is royalty forever; he can do whatever the hell he wants from here on out and he’ll be a legend.

  8. When I saw that Kuznetsov was being waived by the Capitals, I automatically assumed that they were in the process of trading him away to another team.

  9. Peter Laviolette really killed the washington capitals. he alone destroyed Kuzy and Mantha. i don't know how, but he did more harm than good in washington.

  10. As a flames fan I wouldn’t mind if the flames picked him up. Maybe you can turn his game around in the next year. And trade him for picks next deadline.

  11. As a hershey bears fan we do not want kuzy around these young players who are playing great, we're 41-9 going into tonight and if we add someone like kuzy to a playoff pushing bears team who want to repeat for the since 09 and 10

  12. Does Kuzy’s salary count on the salary cap? Because the Caps have 500k free on the cap space…

  13. In years past, I would have celebrated Myers' injury. Now, it's kind of bad news. I actually want the Canucks to give him a new contract this summer.

  14. Would be interesting to see Kuzy wearing the chocolate and white. I doubt it happens.

  15. Man I can't wait to see Kuzy's game if he's sober and truly in a great head space. I honestly don't think we've seen a healthy focused Kuzy since the Cup run. He's one of the most creative players on ice and as someone who spent several years with a bad pill addiction after an injury I can attest that it numbs you and robs you of passion and joy. I really hope Kuzy can find his joy again on and off the ice!

  16. whatever happens with Kuznetsov, hopefully he's gotten better mentally. Despite the career freefall, his playoff performances were awesome. Very well could have won the Conn Smythe during the Cup year

  17. Leafs may have had to overpay given the situation where they had an $11 million winger plane defense and being the only right shot defenseman available to the NHL team kind of put them in a very tough spot of where they need to get a deal done
