Five years at $12.25 M AAV.
Guys, once the Canucks leaked this out it should be done – he has to be traded now, and frankly, should be. He's had a chance to commit to his team and teamates.
Leafs should trade Jones sure they could get a 3rs or 4th for him otherwise run with 3 goalies no way he clears waivers
It's embarassing to be that upset about u2
we’re a couple weeks from trade deadline , and yet the hockey “insiders” can’t stop talking about a guy who repeated 50 times he wants to focus on hockey for now and negotiate after the season.
it really speaks volumes about the quality of “reporting” around the NHL that they can’t stop focusing on this trying to make a jersey shore -like situation.
lord have mercy I hate being a canucks fan sometimes. let the damn guy breathe
For players starting late, part of the legend of Nick Fotiu is that he didn't start playing hockey until he was 16 years old. Don't know if it's true. Having grown up in the same borough as Fotiu, I do know that there was basically nowhere to play hockey on ice.
Elias hasnt been happy to play in Canada for a long time. Vancouver is overpriced with horrible crime, drugs and corruption and a horible tax regime. he kept quiet but wants out as do many players. He will be traded like Bure.
If there’s a god Pettersson will end up in Detroit.
Petterson from the start has seen all the boneheaded moves of ownership and upper management. And he wants out. New start. And if it's down south. More money and the freedom of being less in the limelight . And more than likely win a Stanley cup 2 or 3 of them them 🤔
I think its Stan koven, yay Stany sounds much better. Elias staying in B C is good for everyone
It is like someone put the word out about the media going crazy over Petterson's deal – just wonder who wants the pressue – Petterson or the Canucks? My guess it is the Canucks – they dont want other teams making offers in the summer that they need to match that are not 8 years
People dont seem to understand the actual negotiation here – it probably isnt about money, it probably is about term. I think Petterson wants a 3 or 4 year deal – than he can wait for the cap to go up and lock in a 7 or 8 year deal when he is still at the top of his game at 29 years old or so. Canucks want to sign him for 8 now and not be forced to lock him in for 8 when he is older, similar to Huberdeau in Calgary.
how about icing is the blue line. If you're in the neutral zone just let the play keep moving
so if the Capt. say cant play because he is injured on long term they could free up some space …
sign and trade?

I think Petterson don`t want to throw away years like Sundin or Alfredson. He want The Cup sooner than later. I belive he stays if he get 2 years contract.
The question about a referee forgetting reminds me of playing in my youth trying to duck out of a penalty by doing a line change and trying to mix myself in with the bench, they knew the number unfortunatly.
