  2. Dallas has got themselves a good one with Stankoven. All he's done in his career so far was score goals & put up points. No surprise that he's also won many times both in juniors & international play (he's got 3 Gold medals playing for Team Canada). If he was 2 to 4 inches taller, he would have been drafted much earlier than what he ended up going for. But the way the game has been trending the last several years or so, smaller players can be gamebreakers if they possess skill & smarts – just look at Alex DeBrincat, a 2-time NHL All-Star. Why DeBrincat? It just so happened that him & Stankoven have the same exact height.
    Dallas did very well in this draft because it's looking like they hit 2 home runs already (they also took Wyatt Johnston 23rd overall). Needless to say, excellent scouting by the Stars.
