Two of the laziest behind-the-back swing-and-misses on the back check defensively on the best player in the league. Knew it was going in before it did. You have to give a shit on defense.

Blues played really well. That last shot by mcdavid is the cruelest joke of all time. That shot was going wide and caught extra jersey slowed down and dragged backwards with binner. You can’t make that stuff up
Kind of a lazy attempt by CP there.
I just don’t understand why Thomas is going to waste all of that energy harassing the puck handler by himself in their zone only to give up entirely once McDavid got the puck.

Such a frustrating loss. So many missed opportunities and really good defense from the Oilers won this game for them. The Blues held their ground far better than I thought they would and Binner stole a point.
Still a decent game considering it’s the 2nd of a back to back against a well rested top team.
Those last two stick checks by 18 and 25 were top notch. Really outstanding work
Takeaways:
1. Great effort, great game, really irritating result as it was right there for the taking. Still, Binner stole the point and nearly two (although the gwg should’ve been stopped).
2. This was a must win for the Blues playoff hopes and they couldn’t get it done. Tbh this game and the jets game were both really solid efforts with unfortunate outcomes, but when you get blown regularly by Detroit and Nashville you don’t have room for these kinda shortcomings.
3. Keep Bolduc in the top six. The season is just about lost at this point, let’s see what we got with this kid. If Buchnevich is traded then he has to get top six minutes.
Binnington deserves better.
Even though it was a loss, it was an entertaining game, so that’s cool. I thought the compete was there, just out gunned. Too many dumb avoidable turnovers as well, but still, a fun game.
Oiler fan here.. Great game by Binnington .. Great playoff style game. Blues need too play more consistent

I mean.. that’s essentially how I’d envision most playoff games to go. Close game, solid effort but not enough talent on this team to overcome the talent of these other teams with hope of a Stanley cup. All in all, solid watch!
Unforced turnovers all game. Not enough screened shots or net front presence. The continued hesitation on rush opportunities. I know Thomas is elite but man he can be frustrating. Between not getting a shot on the beak and his lazy play on McD at the end. I wonder if he has what it takes to be a real leader for this team. Binner stole us they point. In Spite of his turnovers Colt is still our most reliable player besides Binner. The team is better than they believe. The game was entertaining. Glad we still have a bunch of games left. Not ready for the off season by any means. FLG
Blues fan here , but hats off to the oilers! Fireball time . The blues need shooters like a Brett hull , or Al MacInnis. This is not a coach problem, it’s players smarts, example Brandon Saad. Get players who can shoot on net.
