What a birthday gift. Isles haven’t won in Dallas for five years but they got the win tonight with my family in town. What a game! That looked like the good ole Islanders. Their defense especially in the first was on point. We’ve been terrible in OT but what a surprise.
With 34 games to go, probably too little too late for the Isles. They’d have to go on a heater to end the season to have a chance for the playoffs. Way too streaky
cool to see Logan Stankoven with 1G 1A in his rookie year and 2nd NHL game ever. He was a points machine playing for the Kamloops Blazers and I think his game will translate pretty well to the modern NHL. Tough shot to get away with that precision
First attempt, Barzal was looking down at the puck, not where he wanted to shoot. Wrong ! Later, Horvat showed that he lacks technique and strategies when he finds himself in front of the net, practically alone. I have pointed out a few times the lack of imagination of the majority of (young) players, which is a terrible sign of the current times…
