  1. Extend Kane and Sprong 100%. We have at least 1 forward and dman just waiting in GR to be called up, so I would prefer trading Perron than resigning him. I don't think he gets traded since he's a respected locker room guy and has playoff experience, though. Ghost and Berggren would be the two other main trade chips. I don't think they're going to resign Gostisbehere, so smart player management says he should be on the trade block.

It would be exciting but I have a hard time seeing Detroit making a significant move.

  2. As a wings season ticket holder the difference in this team before, and after kaner signing is significant. Kaners veteran presence has completely changed this team.

I watched the wings practice in person on Wednesday, and guess who the last two guys on the ice were? Kaner, and the Cat.

  3. Hopefully during the game tomorrow bedard realizes that all great black hawks legends join the wings mid career.

  4. I think if they keep everybody, -Bergren +Guentzel~ with all the young defensemen coming… Sounds freaking awesome.

  5. I think PK is an honest guy, a great competitor, and has too much pride to let his play go downhill to the point of tarnishing his career. He'll let SY know if he can't hold up for another season and go out on a high note if he has to. That would be heartbreaking and I hope the Wings would find a permanent place in the organization for him if PK wants it.

  6. If we're lookign at maybe trading a defenseman, I'd say he's looking to upgrade, not looking to blow it up and tank. Same with the idea of trading Perron, although I imagine those conversations were more wishful thinking from the Oilers, and less actual serious trade discussion. I'd also be interested in keeping Kane for a couple more seasons. All in all, I'm happy with where we are now, but definitely feel like we need to upgrade defense. It's not a playoff defense.

  7. Not sure exactly when you got the footage but saw on the patty kane page, shout out and happy birthday to my mans Tyler Bertuzzi, really enjoyed his game with the wings.

  8. I NEED Kaner here. He’s what I’ve been waiting for in Detroit. Elite hockey mind and it’s beautiful what he’s doing here.

  9. Not only resign Kane, I'd give him 3@12m or 2@10m
…. and I'd perma slap an A on his chest and say you're part of and a leader on this team.

  10. Extend Kane for sure, but Sprong definitely also..He was a Yzerman F/A steal and ultra consistant. Edvinsson will be on our roster next season replacing Petry.

  11. Absolutely extend Kane. Extend sprong if the price is decent. however I’m okay with standing pat this deadline, the team is doing great right now, and I think Steve wants to see what they can do as is, and also allow Berggren and Edvinson and Mazur and so on in GR to go on a run and build confidence and chemistry.
Any more roster moves are coming in off season.
While I like them both, let Ghost and Perron go, bring in Berger and Edvinson then, try to bring up a Mazur if possible as well. See if you can get rid of a Holl and bring in a legit RD to slot behind Seider until ASP arrives, and can stick around once Petry leaves after next season

  12. I don’t think Detroit needs another forward (unless they’re trying to replace Perron). We need another top 4 D. That changes the dynamics of this team.
