Optimistic about this new offense. I think Derek Carr could possibly thrive. But I think the issue is that there's probably a $15-20million qb out there that could do it jsut as well… We'll see. But honestly, unless he becomes unlocked, I'm just waiting for the next qb. It's nothing against him. You just either need an amazing qb, or you need someone cheap and serviceable. But DC is, well, expensive, and serviceable.
Even if DC doesn't improve personally as a QB under this new offensive system, the Saints will be better off by a good margin on offense. Between the terrible O line play and the woefully predictable play calling, that was most of the problem. Fixing holes in the O line, and being more creative in the play calling will make a world of difference. I think simplifying things to a quick release type 2 read then a safety valve approach will help as well. We have play makers, just get the ball out to them quickly, asking less of the O line and putting stress on the D.
If DA is fired next season, Sean will hire him. He should've been fired this year with last seasons schedule
Michael Thomas' time in NO needs to be DONE!! Move on. You gonna keep a receiver that's good for 3-4 games?? Take the hit, move on a get a 1rst round draftee and build. DA needs to move along too!
Ik people dont like it, but we need tk draft a lineman by the 2nd round. And we need an edge rusher too. Wr, rb and TE can wait till the later rounds. Lets rebuild these lines early.
You can put every musical instrument in my hand that you want. You can put the most traditional instruments in the world and you can surround me with a thousand church people, you can even give the title of church pianist. But when I play, blues and rock come out. you can surround Derek Carr with all the support in the world and when he plays, an "aging average" is going to come out.
