That "Winnipeg Forever" veiled threat, that some millenial marketing genius thought would be a good idea to tug at the boomer and senior gen-x heart strings was beyond tone deaf. Everyone saw straight through it, and it pissed off the entire fan base. Now Mark Chipman is coming straight out and saying it? Stop Marketing the team to the fanbase! We Love the team. Market butts in seats and the experience of 'going out' to the fan base! Winnipeg is NOT a city built on wealth. Lower some prices, make your money back on VOLUME sales. I saw Manitoba Moose selling Game packs with refreshments. TRY THAT! Keep your bobbleheads and towels and drop the price of a beer! FLASH BLOW OUT SALES at the Arena Jets Store between periods – Make promotions and advertise them! You don't NEED to sell 13000 season tickets if you can draw in 14,500-15000 average Manitobans for 3-5 games each! I can't afford $10,000+ a year on my team – but they are certainly worth $750 of my hard earned money.
Personally i think they should cut back on the pre game ceremonys , yeah the major ones ok, but seems like every single home game is something now.
Food, drinks and tickets are beyond expensive, but the biggest problem is this stupid liberal government that has two carbon taxes in place with a third one coming April 1, 2024. Justin Trudeau and the corrupt are screwing us.. Cost of living is through the roof and salaries aren't keeping up for many families to go to these games. High player salaries are designed for American cities who have millions of people.

Replace the marketing department, make concessions cheaper, and invest in hockey. If we make a deep run I guarantee season tickets will jump back up
I gave up my season ticket because the seats next to mine on 3rd party were cheaper. Btw beer prices aren’t great either.

To me it’s kinda weird the anger from fans about’Winnipeg Forever’ I really didn’t think it was a kick in the nuts. However, I do think it’s a backlash against what the world has become; pay more and more and more or we take it all away. Chipman and TNSE has been caught in the middle of an economic shitshow, like so many businesses and individuals and it’s not fair to anyone that the Truedolt government has got us here, which is ultimately the root cause. I know you’re not supposed to speak out against Truedolt because Winnipeg is a proud bastion of liberals whilst surrounded by ignorant rednecks BUT this is the reality of Canada now, we have to accept it. Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega aka The Golden Jets should buy the team from True North. 2 famous Winnipeggers/famous Jets fans with name value, influence and connections to help increase attendance. AEW and the Jacksonville Jaguars can help sponsor our team.
Salt Lake next year
I'm tall and I cannot sit comfortably at a Jet game, hence I don't go to games. Why the arena was built without comfort in mind is beyond me. At Bomber games I have plenty of room for my legs. Just being real.
Lost all respect for Chipman this year , lost respect for the team last year , left all my jets facebook groups . The most i do now is watch game highlights on youtube and read articles in the paper .
First thing, go talk to Wade Miller and pick the Bombers organization for ideas on how to improve game day experience and use what you can there. The game day experience between the Bombers and Jets is night and day.
I’m so fed up of hearing this, every jets game I go to is packed, tickets will run you over $100 after taxes, beer and other refreshments are not even worth it. It’s a working class town, we love hockey, just walk down any given street and you’ll see infinite amount of jerseys. This attendance narrative is so frustrating when nothing has been done to address the core issues.

Strongly disagree, Winnipeg fans are acting like the NHL needs them but honestly they were fine without them for years. They should just reduce salary and put out a real crap product and tell fans you get what you pay for.
Another reason for me to hate Trudeau. We are dying here in Canada.
First of all they have to make the pre-game festivities' last more than one hour. A game that was supposed to start at seven now starts 45 minutes later, and they got rid of Shirley Natress to sing the anthem and get all kind of other $hit to sing. If I wanted to hear opera or quire singing or the pow-wow I would attend it somewhere other than the hockey game. Than what happened to draft and develop, I see that Declan Chisholm has played 6 games for the Wild and has 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points and is a plus 2. Against Edmonton he played over 20:00 minutes and was a plus 2. But the Jets would rather keep 3 {PANSY} defensemen on the right side because they are our future. There is nothing better than having an NHL team made up of old men that belong in the beer league to lead us into the future. I quit watching the Jets on TV because you pay 40 dollars a month to TSN just for hockey and then they split it up with a bunch of other stations each asking for the same amount per month. And you are always saying they should trade all their draft picks for old useless and overpaid players just so the talented draft picks never get a chance to play. If I was drafted by the Jets I would never sine with them and go for the next draft. A much better chance to play in the NHL.
It’s incredibly expensive, and being from Kenora (2 hours east) makes it really hard to even trick myself into believing that I’d use season tickets. Gonna look into a quarter season package for the weekends, but damn man. Prices are insane.
Reduce ticket sale prices…. Enough said.

TNSE definitely took the fans for granted. They relied too much on the fanbase simply being happy to have a team again, and are now realizing they actually have to work to get fans back. The mediocre seasons didn't help, but the tone deaf marketing was bad, too.
They need to lower ticket prices and find better ways to relate to the market. Simply being hockey-mad Canadian market is not good enough.
There are not many teams going deep in the playoffs, so maybe shouldnt used as a reason to cancel season tickets. But they should look at how they price their tickets, sell the most expensive tickets to corp. and maybe lower the season ticket price for the avg joe who cant afford this. I get that its emotional, but I dont like putting the blame on the players when its 99% the price and the silly threat
I've actually never bought tickets…I can't justify 2 tickets a year. I have bought tickets in Minneapolis and Arizona for under $40 and $18 perspectively…
Move them to Arizona, no way a team would flop in that market…lol
