This game is an ok performance compare to last one vs. Pittsburgh. I didn’t finish it but I’m happy our 1st line put points in the bank. The captain is our highest point producer and goal-scorer. Slaf and CC put points as well.
Anyway, we keep this tank mode going and we’ll be happy to get that 2nd OA pick (better if its 1OA to get Celibrini).

Woww, in the last few minutes, Matheson did many great things and terrible things at the same time.
On the Devils last goal, while Matheson is to be blamed, but do you notice the lack of effort from Xhekaj ? He took thing lightly on that play.
Slaf is good at takeaway, but at the same time, he gives away quite often too.
Suzuki on pace for 31 goals in 82 games.
Man I’m not sure what to think of Matheson. Love to watch him play but 2 of these goals against he was so out of position it’s ridiculous. Getting completely outskated on that last one is a question mark for me since he’s quite a good skater..

We’re in year 2 of what some believe to be Hughes’ 5 year plan. We’re going to lose a lot more than we’re going to win, and that’s ok.
Insisting that the team magically becomes competitive overnight is how we get stuck in perpetual mediocrity picking 10-20 every year.
Trading Matheson/waiving Allen/firing Marty isn’t going to turn us into a contender.
