Skinner would want more than one goal back. I saw three from distance with no screens and the OT goal was quite a bad poke check. Foegele needs to be on the second line, no question. Kane – Leon – Foegle. Third line McLeod – Holloway (centre) – Perry Fourth line Gagne – Ryan and switch out Janmark and Brown. And obviously keep the first line the same.

Skinner hasn't been playing well as of late… giving up 3+ goals in the last 5 starts. Don't wanna say this but I think they should consider bringing up Campbell. Give him a chance in front of a new coach, system, and can maybe find his groove again in the NHL. Skinner won't get us through the playoffs…still got a point but this game looked really bad for him.
We could have lost this game against Boston but we came back and tied them. It was an exciting game. Really physical. We should have scored on the Powerplay in OT but their goalie was lights out and we should have had Perry in front of the net. You don’t need fancy passes and goals. We need work on the Powerplay more than PK. It was just disappointing to lose to the Boston Bruins but the fact that we came back from 4-1 and then 5-4 showed resilience. No Quit in us. It was a shame Ryan Nuggent Hopkins was out sick but we could have won this game.
"Why put Kane?" Well, it was a special night honoring the game's black players. Evander Kane is a leader on that front. Of course he wanted him to score on this particular night. I don't give a sht what the fans think they know about coaching an NHL team, that was a solid move by the coach. The coach with the best record in the league since he entered, the coach that was one win away from tying the NHL record win streak. For people to question him, this soon, and after carrying this team from the basement back to top 3 in the pacific, is really annoying and embarrassing
Nothing spells success more than a streaky goalie and special teams that absolutely sucks. Knoblauch is also starting to look like a rookie streaky coach using the team like a pair of dice in a Vegas Casino with every shift. The Kris Knoblauch "box of chocolate" strategy…you never know what you're going to get.
No game winning goal with 4 on 3 in OT was the worst thing that could’ve happened, it gave the B’s the chance to take the game back. Oilers miss RNH and it showed.

And every goal scored against the Oilers has the first and last name of an Oilers player. Skinner’s statistics last 5 games he played are simply awful: 21 goals allowed after 132 shots on target = SV% = .84
Oilers can’t score on power plays and allow fast breaks during power plays. Kane ( – 5 ) is not a finesse player and should not play 3 on 3)) He can score goals, but he is very clumsy defender. Brown (-9) with ZERO goals in 45 games is not a good addition to the team.😇 On a bright spot: Hyman ( + 22) with 34 goals in 52 games.
Oilers need better scoring from McDavid, Draisaitl and Nugent-Hopkins and much better goaltending.😇
Boston has 11 points more than the Oilers. The top team in the East. No excuses. We played without any zip to start. PK was not on point. But a point, at the end of the day, against the B's is alright.
I hope RNH haters took note on this one! Very evident they were missing his defensive touches……..37 did well absolutely! I think the mindset with RNH missing is so foreign for them created some psychological challenges as well, like how much has he missed in 2 years! My all time favourite player, I missed watching him……….why are they still hoping Brown can help us? My god we have beat that dog to death!
Pls tell Team Oilers to be more faster and alert specially Skinner, actually Oilers can defeat them. No doubt ! Oilers is a strong Team! Just more fast
Dare I say it?…trade Skinner for a 100% #1 while his value is sky high? Skinner is too shaky with a run and gun team. Oilers will never be the lock down defensive team they need to be for 82 games. They just can't seem to be comfortable in that kind of identity. They always go back to running and gunning, a style Skinner does not thrive in. Skinner would be a star with a lock down defensive team. We need a #1 that thrives in being peppered all night. Loves the adrenaline of being peppered. IMO, Skinner doesn't fit the Edmonton Oilers fast, loose, crazy run and gun trademark game. Skinner would garner a premium return if he was sent to the right team that compliments his goaltending style. Crazy or maybe not so crazy? It's about powerful trade chips and getting a maximum ROI. It's just business.
We've allowed 32 goals in our last 8 games since the break. Our previous 16 before the break we only allowed 24. We've also allowed 11 goals on the last 27 pks for a 60% kill rate the last 8 games. The 16 game win steak our kill rate was like 97% This has been an absolute collapse defensively and with our goaltending
That decision Kris made to put Kane out there in OT was a huge mistake, imo. Overall poorly played game by everyone on the team, including Stu. I was seething on his behalf after Nurse screened him on the one goal. They look lackluster right now and not playoff-ready. Fortunately there is time to get back on track. GO OILERS
What on earth is going on with Knoblauch's strategy decisions as of late? You don't have to be an NHL coach or pro hockey executive to see that they have been absolutely out to lunch bizarre.

It was an amazing comeback to get to overtime. Too bad about the loss, but this is still a win because they got a point.
