Seriously [look at how genuinely excited the guy is for Aho.](https://x.com/canes/status/1760865919134310655?s=46)

He has been very good these past few games coming off the bench and he was inches off scoring an incredible goal last night.

Hopefully with these chances he’s been given he’s okay riding this out with us and not pushing hard to be moved.

I thought he had a good game last night. Not many defensive breakdowns and was very apparent in his jump offensively. Excellent 7d if he can keep playing that way when called upon

I think he needs to stick around. He’s played good hockey these games he’s been called upon. In Pesce’s illness and now in Chatty’s absence.

He’s not even on our PP unit and he has tightened up his defensive gaps.

I thought he played pretty solid last night. Give respect where it’s due. I still wouldn’t want him out there at the end of a game with a one goal lead but he’s definitely turned his season around.

I was a huge critic of TDA early in the season but he’s been a lot better of late. Man is what he his and has his weaknesses, but he’s not a bad option to have as a 7th D imo

He’s looked great these last couple of games. For someone who struggles defensively, I was particularly impressed with his play against Florida. The pairings were all solid. I’d love to see him get some time on the PP while he’s in the lineup too.

Hate the dude, when he scores it ruins some of the mood for me
That said he wasn’t a pylon on defense for these few games.

Still doesn’t fit in the line up- but a seventh man isn’t bad. Doubt anyone would take his contract since its a one year anyway.

You can tell he loves his teammates and has played well when called upon. I don’t know what more you could ask for and I don’t care about anything he does in his spare time or how he feels about things politically. I’m sure if we only knew there were some closet assholes on the 06 team too and every other team you’ve ever pulled for as well. He’s not bringing the morale of the team down or negatively affecting their play so that’s all that matters to me directly as a fan of the team.

I really hate myself for laughing at this caption but I’m still chuckling. Also, I appreciate that TDA was not just letting all that crap go. His job is to be a PITA and he does it.

I’ll say the same thing I always say about him – he’s a pos person

We definitely needed some grit against Florida last year and I think he could have helped.

Obviously there’s been big rumors around his this year but I can’t help but wonder if he wants to stick around to see what happens with Pesce/Skjei in the offseason. I could see him coming back on the 3rd pairing next year with Chatty or someone else if they move Chatty and Orlov to the 2nd pairing -, assuming Pesce/Skjei are gone.

TDA is also smart enough to realize his failures elsewhere and if the organization is gonna use him, even sparingly, that has to be a better situation than in Philly or NYR
