Big win boys! Go Preds!
Kings lose, Vancouver loses, Vegas loses. It's been a fantastic night.
Same old Kings on home ice. Four straight wins was nice, but the Kings at home are inevitable. They always find a way to disappoint when playing in L.A.
Now, it's one thing to lose to a team chasing you in the standings, and it's another to do so while not even trying. You have to show up in big games like this. The Predators did, and they won. As they should. They were the better team, and deserved the win.
I just look at the game winning goal, and I have no words. That's not Kings hockey. I know It's just one game, and you can't win them all, but there is a bigger problem here. Winning at home is still an issue, and the Kings lines aren't working, and Hiller needs to make some permanent changes. Both to the 5-on-5 lines and power play units.
I'd personally like to see Kopi on the second line with Laferriere and Fiala. Him and Kempe just aren't working, and I think he needs a lighter load. A change of scenery for both him and Fiala would be nice too, because outside of the power play, those two just aren't producing.
Dubois and Byfield are still, in my opinion, playing the best hockey on the team, and should be awarded some first line minutes alongside Kempe. I think that trio could be deadly, and I believe Dubois and Byfield have earned the right to more ice time. As for Danault, him and Moore alongside maybe Turcotte or Kaliyev wouldn't be a bad idea. Lizotte should go back to centering the 4th line with Lewis. Those two together are fantastic.
I know rambling about it won't actually change anything. It's not like Hiller will just magically change things up just because of some random fan on the internet, but I hope he does make some drastic decisions here. He can't just move on, and pretend this game didn't happen. He has to address the team's shortcomings, and find a solution. I hope he pulls through.
Every game matters, so minimal mistakes are needed for this team to make the playoffs. Go Kings Go!
10-10-6 at home.
18-7-4 on the road.
So vastly different. Kings have got to be better at home.
Congrats them country boys beat the Western King's
Did the announcerette say the goal scorer came right down “main stream”? Pretty sure it’s Main Street, sweetheart. Of course no one will correct her because that would be mansplaining.
How come they are so ass at home but dominate on the road lol
The Kings are the strangest team this season man
Great night to be an Oilers fan, Vancouver loses, Los Angeles loses, Vegas loses
