Rempe is a Beast
Matthew Rempe was given a match penalty for this hit on Nate Bastian. Thoughts?🤔

Let’s not celebrate a hit that put us on the kill for 5 minutes or hurt someone?
garbage call.
kid comes out swinigng. gets retaliation peantiles next time.
Dude slashed him but didn’t wanna fight lol
MakeHockeyBrutalAgain
His size was a detriment on this hit
He’s trying to play physically so he can stay with the big club. Anywhere else on the body, that would’ve been a clean, brutal hit. If he was shorter it wouldn’t have been an issue.
But… it was directly on the head. I’m okay with the penalty. I hope Bastian is okay.
someone tell rempe to hit the fuckin weights cause hes gonna be here a while when hes trucking the little red skirts. fuck the debbies i have watched their band of goons do this shit to our guys hundreds of times.
Jesus Christ
I fuckin love this guy
How does someone like that avoid checks like that being he is 6’7…it’s where his shoulder lines up w most players shorter than he is…
Got 5 and a game for being a handsome 7 foot giant.
That being said, if that happened to a rangers player I’d be out for blood
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Creating a precedent to take larger players out of the physical game. Not a fan of the call. Bastian was bent over with the puck. Is Rempe supposed to just back out because he’s tall?
There wasn’t ill intent on the hit( besides maybe charging from too far out). Problem is that dude is a tower, and Bastian had his dome lowered on the play. The combo of both is a recipe for an ugly hit and pain that lead to blood being spilled .
I just hope Remps doesn’t over deliver on the physicality, allowing his play making talent to take a back seat.
Watched a lot of Derek Boogard when he was a junior. He was so big when people ran into him or when he threw a stiff check, he would always get an elbowing penalty due to the size differential.
Don’t want to see any fan of the team that employed Scott Stevens whine about this
It warms my heart when this sub starts rooting for a tough guy……..
The best part was when he put down Sigenthaler for trying to start shit LOL
