We need to talk about Jordan Binnington and the first little bit of nonsense I’ve seen from him this year. We’ll cover that and more on today’s NHL hockey video as we go back to the St Louis Blues vs the Nashville Predators!
Why is the so much love for Elvis and so much hate for Binnington. Binnington is doing nothing that Belfour, Hextall, Roy, and many other goalies before the 2000's did. Is it just the wussification of hockey that makes you hate Binnington so much.

To me this is less severe than the “accidental” Trouba swing at Frederick, and for some reason he only got fined the 5K…so who knows what is going on with the Dept of Player Safety.
Looks like when Billy Smith stick-butted Lindy Ruff in the eye (many years ago, but you can find the clip). He nailed him really close to the eyeball, Lindy Ruff came back on Smith as play left that zone and dropped Smith the ice and went after him a little. As the sequence unfolded, Smith stood there with that stupid look on his face, basically the only look that cheap so-and-so had to offer the world. Binnington's cheap shot was very similar….trying to be a little sneaky boy and get his dirtbag shot in there.
Binnington is a typical cry baby who was never taught as a kid how to lose. He should be suspended for 5 games as this isn't the first dirty move he's pulled. The fines are way too small for the salary as mentioned below, it should be minimum 100k or it has no affect. When you're making minimum 62k a month less than 10% penalty doesn't even register, therefore has ZERO deterrent.
$5,000 fines are pocket lint to guys who make millions. That is the max allowed by the CBA. Suspensions cost them more and one was deserved for this cheap shot.
They have to suspend him, it's the only way to get him to stop this BS. $5k fines are as useless as a screen door on a submarine. These guys are for the most part making millions per year.
