The fanbase has endured a lot of embarrassing losses in recent memory, but this a new low.
Hopefully the President of Hockey Operations Kyle Dubas replaces the General Manager Kyle Dubas soon because this franchise needs a really strong return for Guentzel and Nedelkovic here in three weeks and really can't have another disastrous offseason like this past one.
Agreed
At least Canada had a questionable roster …
As soon as they got that late power play my only thought was “oh no, here we go again”
No playoff caliber team would still have Harkins & Carter on an active roster.
How pathetic has this team become. Last year at this time, we were blasting them for the pathetic play of Jeff Carter and Brian Doumalin and questioning whether they should even be playing. Carter’s bad play, even worse this year (8 points), has become acceptable and the normal on this team. The bar keeps getting set lower and lower. It’s time for some major changes.
Jagr's team would run circles around this team. He should have stayed on the ice and played.
They are such an embarrassment, probably why Mario didn't even stick around after the ceremony.
Nobody listens ,to small ,not tough enough ,no pride ! Can we bring Scott Stevens out of retirement even if he is 100.Nobody clears their net in front of their goalie and crossing the Pens blue line is like a visit at grammas . Get Malkan off the first power play ..
I felt bad for Jagr after that majestic ceremony and everything leading up to the game. There was that creepy feeling which began to make its way into the aura of the arena about half way through the 3rd period. Either they'd lose it like they did, or would cave in overtime. You don't get the same confident feeling that the team would pull together and win it in epic fashion like the guys who played with Jagr would have – and did get it – done. Those of us who lived in the time of those heroes sitting on the chairs on that ice have been spoiled with excellent hockey play. The city deserves better than what was put on display during the game last night. Much better.
This team is done
Many know Jaromir is an anagram for Mario Jr….that really hit me during Jags's speech and I cried like a baby. Destiny is an amazing thing.
So, didn't anyone else take notice of Jag's beautiful, young girl friend?
I felt it coming. Listening to the game it was in the 3rd about half way thru I looked at my wife and said there going to loses. On Jagr night SMH.. The Jagr retirement ceremony, watching all his goals very emotional fighting the tears back the whole time. It's great to see Jagr jersey in rafters.
Sully time has sadly run out. It's time to move on.
That was a terrible decision by Lars Eller to try to make that pass that ended up going the other way short handed. And I’ve been noticing him doing things like that quite a bit recently and turning the puck over. But don’t get me wrong he’s been one of the few decent players in the bottom 6.
Thank you DK. I agree whole heartedly, After a great day of celebration , I asked myself where has that all gone ? The moves the speed and the wonderful connection with Pittsburgh. Always a great show DK. Jagr is awesome
I love how you think and discuss this team I loved everything they did for Jags 😢❤ he will always be a legend penguin 🎉
You know I have been on the Sullivan train for a while. I don't think he has lost the locker room, but I think the issue with him and the older players is that they are stubborn. They think that their way worked years ago and it should still work now. It's almost like another team across the river. I am starting to doubt Dubas, which is unfair but are we sure he is actually working?
