Jaromir Jagr’s Legacy | Celebrate 68

“I just think, number one, it’s time that we had this type of ceremony,” said Penguins color analyst Phil Bourque, who played a key role in facilitating the ‘Celebrate 68’ festivities. “Especially in the new building here where we’ve had some great moments, but we haven’t had this kind of ceremony in a long, long time in this city, for this team.

“And number two, even though he played for a bunch of other teams, everybody remembers Jaromir Jagr for what he did as a Pittsburgh Penguin.”

  1. I will always remember the greatest duo of my life and will always praise their greatness. Jagr and Lemieux i have their jerseys and will be a pens fan for life!!!!!!!

  2. Without Lemeaux, there would not be a Penguins, without Jagr, there would not be a Penguins in Pittsburgh, and without Lemeaux, Jagr and Crosby, we wouldn't have a heritage in the greatest sports town in the country.

  3. respect the pens, hate their fans, but appreciate the great players. Jagr in my eyes is the best Winger to ever play the game. he should be top 5 all time.

  4. Jagr and Mario inspired me to play the game. I grew up on a lake so ice was available. I laced up at 6yo. I was 16 by the time Jagr was drafted. Incredible players and inspirational. 68!
