I know it's very unlikely and no offense to Slaf or his fans but Zegras for Slaf would be horrible. Zegras is a proven 60+ point player when healthy and given his raw skill capable of much more than that. After watching him play and watching highlights I'm not sold on Slaf at all.
Habs should go for Alex Lafreniere instead…but getting Zegras if the price is not too expensive, would be a great addition to Mtl's top 9…

They should trade Nylander for Zegras. I think its a good deal, the cap savings would be huge. The Leafs need this and they get a good player equal to Nylander. Leaf fans should be pushing for this trade.

If the Zegris trade falls thru, HABShave 2 first round picks and more from a possibile trade for Savard and Matheson so if Zegris trade should fall thru, WE have 4 First Roounders + 2 in 25 to trade for Cellebrini who has no $5.75 M price tag on a contract. I would prefer Cellebrini choice because we know a longer stay is possible. Plus Anaheim is not the best to deal with and have shown absolute disrespect for Zegris!!
