I’m not defending Jeff skinner but typically speaking don’t wack older players especially those in there 40’s like Craig Anderson because if they get seriously hurt they don’t recover as easily as younger guys do.

The Makar one is unfortunate. There was no whistle until after the hit…seems like Makar didn't know where the puck was and assumed McCann had it…McCann knew it was out of play so assumed the play was over.

Makar, the only reason he got one game was it was in the playoffs. That's a 3-4 gamer if it's in the regular season.
Binnington, I hope DPS got a good look at that sequence with the official. I'm not gonna say 20, but I will say I think 2 was light for complete instigation of the incident plus other aggravating factors.
Hartman: Borderline charging as he basically plays the puck aside and then nails the player, preparing to leave his feet while doing so.
Pietrangelo: That should've been the rest of that series, 2-3 games minimum. You've got the slash they suspended for, a slew-foot trip, and instigating a fight in the last five minutes.
Greer: One game about right, but I do wonder if the other player was fined for aggravating the situation.
Cernak: One for the elbow, a second for that instigating in the last five minutes?
Oleksiak: I hope that was three after an in-person, because that was a nasty elbow on top of it.
Skinner: Same deal, flagrant cross-check in the last five minutes… Probably 2+1…

Do players ever get suspensions for fighting? Like, I’ve seen clips where a player is literally punching a guy who is already down while the refs are trying to separate them. I’ve always assumed that landing hits after somebody has given up would get you a heavy suspension but idk.
Makar only getting 2 mins for that is insane, put McCann out for the series Dale Hunter style
I always forget what caused an almost-goalie fight between Binnington and Fluery, I just remember that there was an almost-goalie fight.
