I don’t care that we lost, it’s 1 of 82, I do care about how we lost.
One of the most important games of the year and our only goals came from Myers transforming into McDavid, and Juulsen scoring his first since 2018. It’s unacceptable how prone our top guys are to just completely vanishing. *Especially* on the power play, that shit has been broken for months.
The power play needs to be figured out. This team has way too much talent for it to be struggling this badly. Noah Juulsen has been fantastic recently, but that third period was not his finest hour of work. He went for a big hit instead of playing his man, which led to the third goal and then lost his man on the fourth goal. But having said that. The team did do a lot of good things, but some untimely mistakes did them in.
Fucking ugh.
Hughes with over 28 mins toi played tonight,
our top 6 looks so.. bad compared to other contenders. Hope they find a solution soon.

meh. Thought we were the far better team 5 on 5 until 2 breakdowns in the third (from being over aggressive). Need to get the PP sorted however before April. Winnipeg is a good team, and I thought we looked far better than they did. Helleybuck just made some really good saves and Demmer wasn’t at his best tonight. I still think we would beat them in a playoff series in 6
People missed when Petey danced into the jets zone and created 3 chances by himself, then when he set up Höglander and he just missed the puck. Complain more

Felt like we significantly controlled the first half of the game 5 on 5. The two penalties were brutal calls but special teams have to be better regardless. Got caught chasing hits when it got testy too. There are gonna be playoff games where we get goalied, refs suck and play gets chippy so this will be a valuable game to learn from.
Atleast we don’t live in winnipeg… imagine
What I’m most annoyed about is these mfers wasted that HIGHLIGHT REEL EPIC GOAL by Tyler “Calder Winner ’10” Myers by not winning. Goddamn it.

specials teams didn’t get it done. Both PP and PK were just bad.

Jets fan with a corny helmet in my section tonight was very obnoxious. Hopefully he doesn’t get jumped but feels like he might since he knows it’s pissing people off.

refs ruined what could’ve been a classic game between two elite teams by inserting themselves in the storyline.
It was a good game that could have gone either way. No need to overreact.

Is anyone else super worried that we’ve been beaten by both Boston and Winnipeg now? Doesn’t bode well for playoffs but I hope I’m wrong
Man we got super undisciplined during this game. That was so glaring when they had their two quick goals but a theme most of the night as well.
Hoglander was bad. Two bad penalties, no real offense from him. I hope this isn’t going to be the same thing as what happened last time he got top six ice time with a hot start and then going invisible.

Miller was going really well but Boeser outside of a couple chances early wasn’t going with him and Suter felt invisible most of the night aside from that horrible pass when he was in alone almost with Hellebyuck.

Petey seemed to be going for the first 35 minutes of play but after that he did nothing. Lindholm was invisible most of the night as well.

We either need to sit Ilya, or trade him. He is just such a blackhole offensively that even with the magic of Garland and Blueger doing their thing, he did nothing besides that one break where he got a weak shot off. I don’t care how good defensively he is, he does nothing else.

Also powerplay is still just so bad. Even one goal from them and maybe we can change this game but they do nothing. At this point just start shooting the puck and see if you can get anything from that. We spend so much time just passing the puck around without actually creating any good looks from doing so.
Hope that’s not a preview of the playoffs cause a lot of expensive guys were no shows.

We saw Myers Bobby Orr the Jets and Juulsen and Zadorov destroy some fools so I’ll take it as a win.
Petey, Miller, Boeser, Hughes all no shows tonight – powerplay is hurting them, better chance if the game is 5 vs 5 and our lines roll cause special teams is not in Canucks favour lately
i don’t get to watch many games, tough loss but that was entertaining hockey.
feels like the canucks controlled nearly all of the play but didn’t really make Hellebuyck make any really difficult saves
