Highlights: Gophers top Wisconsin, win MacNaughton Cup



Gopher men’s hockey rallied to beat Wisconsin 2-1 Saturday night and split their February series with goals by Erik Haula and Nate Schmidt. They also were presented the MacNaughton Cup for clinching the WCHA regular season championship Friday night.

  1. I'm not sure of the rules in college hockey… but that sure looked like a hand pass at 2:32.

  3. GopherAthletics, Next time we win a trophy don't let some dopey camera guy into the middle of the stick salute. He can get his shots of the trophy later.

    Your student section makes a habit of throwing dead gophers on the ice which is exponentially more tasteless than a few curse words. Stay classy NoDak

  5. Schmidt goal is maybe my favorite play by a defenseman of all time. Phenomenal zone hold, walks passed an outstretched defender, blasts it home and the place goes nuts.
