Welcome back boy did I get this one wrong uh so you know there’s been a lot of talk about the 2011 Canucks and the relation to this year’s Canucks and getting destroyed in Boston is kind of what the 2011 Canucks did so we had seven games tonight in the National

Hockey League and we’re going to start off with uh with the matchup that for me was kind of disappointing only because I like it when Vancouver and Boston when it’s close I love it if it goes to overtime uh this was not close it’s Demco Demco versus olark the Canucks get

An early power play play and that leads to a short-handed goal uh Vancouver’s power play has been leaking short-handed goals like crazy over the last couple of weeks so uh it’s Marshon versus Coyle at 32 seconds he buries his own rebound on a turnover brins then finished the kill

Uh pressed by Boston at 3 minutes we got two minutes of four on four there’s a near Miss for Coy uh de bruss to coil near Miss there as well so we got a power play for Boston that’s killed off shots are 7 to six for the Bruins with

7even minutes left the Vancouver conu go back to the power play and and it’s another short-handed goal it’s Hein in from coil at 1537 and most importantly the Bruins finish the kill so it’s two nothing after one second period early jump for Boston and they score geeky

From poock and zaka at 34 seconds that one deflects in and then on a rush zaka scores from Van reik at 49 seconds it’s 4 nothing and it really feels like Boston kind of took their foot off the gas at that point although they did look for another get a power play for

Vancouver that’s killed off the Canucks get some Zone time they’re not getting shots at this point Boston did a really good job of preventing any kind of momentum for Vancouver from then going forward the Canucks had eight total shots 30 minutes into the game so and

They only had nine the rest of the way we get two minutes of four on four postero tonight on a rush uh the Canuck score with a high stick so that doesn’t count uh Bruins press the Canucks block they clear but it’s 4 nothing Boston after two third period uh Bruins are

Pretty trappy and there wasn’t any room for the Vancouver con once you got to the red line good luck uh Canucks had the lone shot on that at 3 minutes the Bruins are back to playing the way they played early in the season which is bad

News for the rest of the NHL apparently that loss against Calgary woke them up so zaka has a shot deflect out during a power play for Boston that power play ends up being killed off Canucks press with 9 minutes left honic has a blast that’s held uh Bruins press with 4 and a

Half minutes left with 110 left the Bruns have a power play that allows them to run out the clock and get the shut out Victory so the Tony the tiger magnet up there for Lena Sark Boston goes to 3210 and9 with the win Vancouver 3412

And 5 with the loss both teams are tied at the top of the NHL standings they both have the same points and points percentage there you go shots on net 11 to4 Boston in the first nine a piece in the second 5 to four Boston and the

Third Final Shots 257 Boston power plays both teams 0 for three the hits 26 to 25 for Vancouver Demco saved 21 out of 25 olark perfect 17 saves on 17 shots one thing Boston didn’t let Vancouver do get traffic in front of the net it’s just a

Nope you’re not getting in front of the net it was pretty close to a perfect game for the Boston Bruins all right next up uh Washington and Florida Washington gave Florida all they could handle for a while in this so it’s keer versus Pabi dowed fires when wide on a

Rush we get a power play for Washington that’s killed off uh Rodriguez can’t bury one in close the shots are five to four Washington six minutes in we then get a power play for the Panthers that’s killed off allenstein gets a penalty shot that’s saved so doesn’t end up

Opening the scoring there uh kachak has a near miss and close the Panthers draw themselves a power play that’s killed off and then the capitals get a power play and they score and it it’s oetkin so the goal scoring is picking up for oetkin he scores from sandine and

McMichael at 1638 I think that puts him 61 goals behind Gretzky so he’s got 11 goals now on the season I mean it’s it’s still there it’s still there that record uh and it was a one-timer from his spot so that’s good news too that it was an

Oetkin looking goal uh 21 seconds left the Panthers go to the power play so that rolls over to the second period with the Caps leading one- nothing uh the Panthers unable to to capitalize on that power play The Kill is finished by Washington Panthers press at three minutes eventually they do score uh

Kachak scores from forsling at 429 and then they look for the lead and they do score but it’s challenged for offside and it’s offside so um that that goal comes off the board press by the Panthers at 7 and a half minutes we get a power play for the Panthers uh that’s

Killed off the shots are 8 to2 for Florida with 9 and A2 minutes left and at 1403 mantha kind of against the flow of play he gets one from scaros and prus he tips it in front uh it’s bar down all of a sudden Washington with a two to1

Lead uh Panthers press to respond with 240 left Florida gets their Fifth and what was their final power play of the game and Reinhardt scores on it from kachuck and Veri at 1732 he deflects it in uh reinhardt’s pretty good on the power play so that makes it 22 after two

Third period Panthers with some pressure early uh there’s a near Miss for kachu the capitals clear shots are 3 nothing Florida 4 minutes in uh Florida really preventing any kind of pressure from the capitals as well uh then Florida with their pre with pressure of their own at

9 and A2 minutes capitals block though uh stenland with a near Miss caps are really pinned down Panthers controlling the game mour has a rush chance that saved there’s another near Miss for stenland and then lomberg scores from kachuck at 1428 cuz you’re just giving these guys too many chances and that

Fourth line for Florida had plenty of chances so it’s nice to see lomberg get a goal uh we get a power play for the capitals Florida kills that off allows one shot the goalie poll happens with 120 left because it was a late power play and looer hits the empty net from

Kachuck at 19 minutes and 6 seconds so for Matthew gaka goal and three assists tonight he was in on every goal Florida wins this one 4 to2 they go to 325 and four with the win Washington 22 20 and 7 with the loss shots on net 13 a piece in

The first 124 Florida in the second 16-6 Florida in the third Final Shots 41 to 23 for the Panthers power plays Washington one for three Florida one for five the hits 217 Florida keer saved 37 out of 40 he was very good bosski was pretty good himself 21 saves on 23 shots

At the other end so yep there you go all right next up Calgary and New Jersey so the Flames are on quite a run right now coming out of the All-Star break and it’s been impressive to watch this one was just as impressive I think as the Boston game so it’s markstrom versus

Vanich and there’s been all this discussion about whether or not marra might get traded um they’re still on the hunt for the playoffs so I I don’t I don’t know what this does with them winning a couple of games here uh Luke Hughes has a shot that’s blocked Coleman

Has a three-on-one chance that save the Flames press at 4 minutes Jack Hughes with a near Miss as the Devils get some pressure the shots on net are 5 to1 New Jersey at 6 half minutes the Flames press are kept to the outside the Devils with some pressure at 9 and 1/2 minutes

Uh weager prevents a goal by the devils and then poot gets a goal for the Devils he scores from brat and heer at 1539 Devils then look for another so they have some momentum until backland scores to tie it from manani and Coleman at 18 minutes and 10 seconds and then with 116

Left the Flames get a power play so it’s tied 1 one after one we go into the second period where the Devils finish the kill Flames press it two minutes and eventually um we get a goal here the puck kind of goes through vanich vanich

I think thought he had it uh but it lands behind him and Zer just puts it into the net uh cadri and ppal with the assists at 353 we then get a power play for the Devils that’s killed off shots are four to three for the Devils at 7

Minutes the Devils press are kept to the outside there’s a near Miss for huberto and some really heavy pressure by the Flames as well at that point and then kzo gets denied from the slot so after two periods of play Calgary playing a very good Road game and up two to one

Third period kzo has a rush chance that’s defended Coleman has a net drive that’s blocked there’s a glove save him on japon the Flames press and Rooney bats one in he scores from hanifan and tanv at 255 uh we then get a 4minute power play for Calgary this is a chance

For them to put the game away but uh heer scores short-handed on a break uh brat with the assist at 402 and then the Devils finish the kill so is it a momentum swing well the shots are 5 to one for the Flames at 7 and 1/2 minutes

So the just had the one shot and it went in um and then at 956 kzo gets an insurance goal he scores from hanifen uh really glad to see kzo fitting in with the Flames honestly yeah I’m a conu fan yada y y I still want to see kzo do well

It’s nice to see him getting goals in Calgary uh plot would answer with his second goal of the game he scores that one from Miller and brat at 1346 the Devils then pressed they draw a Power Play That Power Play is killed off they would pull the goalie looking to get

Closer and mapani hits the empty net at 1825 to make your final score 5 to3 for the Flames they go to 2422 and five with the win with the loss New Jersey 2521 and three the best way to convince Craig Conroy not to trade guys is Win games

And that’s what Calgary’s doing shots on net favored New Jersey the hallway 12 to 10 in the 1 1110 in the second 17 to 10 in the third Final Shots 40 to3 for the Devils power plays 0 for3 for Calgary 0 for two for New Jersey uh hits 14 to9

For New Jersey mark saves 37 out of 40 vanich saved 25 out of 29 at the other end all right next up last one on this board’s Winnipeg and Philly Winnipeg is in freef fall on my power rankings board over there um Philadelphia on the other

Hand having a pretty good run right now so it’s bris versus Arison the Flyers had the lone shot at 3 minutes and on their second shot they score it’s Forester from paling and Kates at 337 why does every announced team think the Flyers are selling and they’re falling

Out of the race and then then they look at this look at the scores and go oh hey they won tonight now if you watch the game that that happened in and you’re watching this part of the review you’ll know what I’m talking about I just it’s

One of those things that drives me nuts when a team’s in a playoff spot and people like I think they’re going to sell really so uh Flyers press at five and a half minutes we then had a fight between pan and kkny which seemed to be

Kind of out of nowhere uh but kkny doing the the the easiest part of a Gordy how hat trick early so we get a power play for the Flyers that’s killed off because their power play sucks uh shots are 5 to2 for the Flyers at 8 and a half

Minutes I think I can say that because Flyers fans know the power play sucks I’m not telling Tales out of school uh Flyers go back to the power play but right it sucks so it doesn’t score and then conecte uh deflects one in after a Faceoff win by Philly uh farab and

Walker with the assists at 1403 and then another goal is scored before the period’s out it’s Frost from tippet and conni at 1806 so conne has the fight then he has the goal and then he has the assist he has a Gordy how hatrick in the

First first period of the game uh so Morris E’s Toni we get some pushing it’s 3 nothing Philadelphia after one second period uh early jump for Winnipeg they end up getting a power play here’s your chance and paling scores short-handed at 229 cuz the Flyers while their power

Play isn’t any good their short-handed game is better I I don’t understand Philadelphia at times why do they score short-handed goals seemingly so easily and their power play just can’t do it uh so the flyers then finish the kill that’s the most important part Jets press at 8 minutes Forester with a near

Miss on a rush Appleton has a chance that’s held there were multiple times tonight you can see how frustrated the Jets were I don’t blame them this is clearly a slump now we’re not just talking about a couple games against Toronto this is a team that looks like

They’ve just forgotten how to score goals uh Appleton has a chance held then with 349 left the Jets SC a power play uh shley with a near miss that power play is killed off the flyers then press in the final minute so they’re up 4 nothing after two third period uh

Morrisy misses one high from the slot or wide from the slot eers then has a chance that the flex out there’s a delay game call gives the Jets power play uh it’s killed off so the Jets end up 0 for three in this game Flyers press at 6 and

A half minutes the Jets then get some pressure of their own at 8 minutes uh Peretti has a chance that’s blocked and cleared uh shots are 4 to three for the Jets 9 Minutes in power play for Philadelphia that becomes 58 seconds of five on three but we know it sucks so

Kates gets denied in close that gets killed off cuz Phil Florida or Philadelphia doesn’t play well when they have extra guys on the ice uh and then Connor ruins the shut out at 1448 from shley and morresy and that makes your final score 4 to1 for the Flyers Flyers

Are now 27 19 and six they’ve won back-to-back games they needed the All-Star break clearly uh Winnipeg 304 and five with the loss they have to be concerned Colorado and Dallas now are both ahead of them and so they have to be concerned about teams beneath them as

Well shots on net 13 to4 Philly in the first not yet obviously but if they keep playing like this there’s that danger uh the shots in the first were for Philly and then second and third Winnipeg out shoots them 15 to3 in the second 10 to

Five in the third final shots are 2921 for the Jets power plays Winnipeg 0 for three Philadelphia 0 for four the hits 23 to 21 Winnipeg brisis saves 17 out of 21 Arison saves 28 out of 29 at the other end and so yeah for jets fans uh

This this slump continues it’s now five games almost video worthy isn’t it that being said I need to change boards all right so another team that’s slumping and this is good news if you’re a Jets fan Colorado uh Colorado tonight bit of a slump for them uh in against Carolina

A team looking to bounce back after that loss against Vancouver they bounced back nicely so it’s goria versus ketov and N scores on the first shot he scores from Shay and stall at 152 uh then it’s crossbar out for Miles wood before Nate scores again on their second shot so no

Saves for gorv at this point Burns and terrain with the assists at 625 we get a power play for the ABS that becomes a minute and 35 seconds of four on four the ABS didn’t really meet very many power plays tonight they couldn’t pull themselves off of by taking a penalty

Byam has a shot that’s blocked out everything’s killed off Mar has a shot kicked aside the shots are three to2 for the ABS with 7 and a half minutes left that’s right Carolina didn’t have another shot to this point Terra Deo near miss and then NIS on only the

Fourth shot of the game and the third by nes so he scored on his first three shots uh terrain and slaven with the assists at 1651 so I’m guessing his shooting percentage really shot up tonight uh 216 left the ABS get a power play that becomes 23 seconds of four on

Four and uh during that four on four they were busy at 1933 pzy gets his first as an NA from oconor and Gerard and then at 19407 seconds later Gerard scores from calano so we’re in a 3 to2 game for Carol Ina after the first period second period everything ends up

Getting killed off out of that the can’s press 2 minutes in uh Burns to fast gets blocked out uh delay a game gives the ABS a power play there’s a short-handed chance for AO that gets blocked out of play uh Power plays killed off good four

Checking by the ABS which leads to too many canes on the ice the ABS with the power play uh then we get 58 seconds of fouron four because they take themselves off the power play again Jarvis can’t very one and close but then during the Cane’s power play they score on a Tic

Tac Toe play bunting from terrain and burns so terrain with three helpers tonight that’s a 1206 uh Suddenly It’s 4 to2 for Carolina we get a post for McKinnon on a net drive he is now in a slump he’s gone two games without a point uh delay a

Game gives KES Power Play That’s killed off the ABS press in the final minute it’s 4 to2 after two third period early press by the ABS we get a power play for Colorado that’s killed off power play Then for the canes that one’s killed off

Too the shots are 10 to6 Carolina with 8 and 1/2 minutes left the ABS go go back to the power play Carolina kills it uh goalie pull happens with 3 minutes left and at 1906 Jarvis is awarded a goal basically he was going to backhand it

Into the empty net he gets harassed on the way there so the referee Awards a goal to Jarvis uh and that makes your final score 5-2 Carolina goes to 296 and 5 with the win with the loss Colorado 326 and four on the season shots on net

85 Colorado in the 1 109 Carolina in the second 12 to 10 Carolina in the third 5 shots are 27 a piece uh Power plays Colorado 0 for six Carolina one for five the hits 1411 Carolina gorv saves 22 out of 26 ketov saved 16 out of 18 ronto

Saved all nine shots in relief of ketov so hopefully we’re not going to see a goalie situation again in Carolina where goalie hurt and everything else so at any rate Carolina gets the win worry about the goalie thing later they’ve been doing that all year anyways so why not keep that up

All right next up uh Tampa Bay and the Islanders uh Tampa Bay is in trouble so this it’s always so interesting to me coming out of the All-Star break which teams are are sharp and which ones aren’t and the Islanders seem to be one of the sharp teams Tampa Bay just

Doesn’t look like they’re in it uh so Johansson versus soken in this one early power play for the Islanders that’s killed off shots are two to one for the Islanders at 3 and a half minutes at 407 Dobson puts one in off CHX skate so I mentioned Dobson this morning in the

Preview that he hadn’t had had a goal in a while and there you go Paso with the assist on that the Islanders are protecting the net well until 642 in kucherov uh it’s a screened point shot ends up being deflected top shelf radish and point with the assist

Son Nikita kucherov on the board and puts himself a couple of points ahead of McKinnon in the scoring race uh Power Play for New York that’s killed off net feed to cikas near miss and then barzel puts one posted in Horvat with the assist of 1407 uh the fans then call one the

Referee doesn’t at 1834 it doesn’t end up mattering too much to Islander fans as they score again Paul maray with a one-time on a pass from behind the net Riley and Nelson with the assists it’s three to one for the Islanders uh with 5 seconds left in the

Period the bolts go to the power play so that rolls over to the second period they need a goal and they get it it’s Brandon Hegel scoring from Celli and Hedman at 114 he buries a rebound on a rush that makes it a one-goal game shots

Are 4 nothing Tampa Bay at 4 minutes looks like they’ve got this figured out but the Islanders draw a power play and they score on it it’s pulock from Ang Bal at 710 and then Horvat who I mentioned in the preview this morning as well uh he’s

Got his scoring game back he scores from barzel and pelic at 818 Hegel then fires one wide on a rush as they need to get back in this it’s 5-2 and cikas just activated off ltir he gets a goal at 1522 it’s 6-2 for the Islanders after

Two third period uh Cav as a rapper on this picked off there were no shots on net three minutes in as it became an Islanders game edman has a one time of this block the Islanders press at 4 minutes barzel has a chance that’s caught and held we got a power play for

The Isles that’s killed off shots are 4 to1 Tampa with 9 and a half minutes left pelic has a screenshot that’s hell bolt draw Power Play There’s a shander rush by Paso he misses high power plays killed off and late in the game some nice Patrick wance from that Islanders

Coyotes at home against Vegas uh so it’s Hill versus Ingram and 19 seconds in Marsha so Beres one on a rush barbashev and and raw with the assist so raw’s point Street continues Nick raw all of a sudden is an offensive Dynamo cuz why not uh Vegas looks for another and they

Get it 117 in it kind of deflects in it’s a weird goal but it counts heg from bristen as well as Carlson so is that brison’s first NHL point or bris Sol’s first NHL Point depending on whether you view his name is English or French uh at

Goal it stays 3 to one uh coyotes then finished the kill but yeah they left Fela and the net the rest of the way second period uh early press by the coyotes Dermot prevents a goal from Mark Stone the shots are three AP piece at 5 minutes Vegas presses they’re kept to

The outside barbashev has a chance that’s kicked aside Keller has a net feed that’s picked off cter denied on a two-on one Hayden has a net feed that’s picked off nice to see him back in the lineup tonight uh we get a power play for Arizona that’s killed off Vegas

Presses with a minute and a half left marsho has a slot shot that’s held a Mario goes for the buzzer beater that’s saved as well so it stays 3 to one after two Vel is keeping this close third period uh a good early back and forth a

Mario to Carlson gets picked off valami has a one-timer that’s held raw had a beautiful Rush chance that’s saved by Vela and then the puck goes the other way and Keller scores on a breakaway to make it a one goal game schaltz with the assist at 3 minutes and 40 seconds uh

Coyotes then to tie it in fact the shots are four to2 in their favor 6 minutes in uh kolie has a one-time that’s held then there’s a near Miss for w and a turnover and Vegas did a good job in that second half of the period of reestablishing

Themselves as the better team uh they would get some pressure with two and a half minutes left a Mario’s denied velica holds they get the goalie pull with a minute and 40 seconds left but in the end Vegas wins this one 3-2 they go to 315 and six with the win Arizona 23

23 and three with the loss right under here it says game number 800 because in the NH schedule this is game number 800 I have 512 regular seasons regular season games left to watch I’m I’m actually kind of excited that we’re into the 800s uh shots on that 125 Vegas in

The first 1411 Vegas in the second 86 Vegas in the third really good road game for Vegas they do out shoot Arizona 34 to 22 power plays both teams go 0 for one on the power play the hits 28 to 25 Arizona Aiden Hill 20 saves on 22 shots
