I'll keep believing in Dubois. Whether I'd like to, or not. He has the potential, and he's here to stay, so we have to depend on him and hope he works it out. Blake aleady called season when he didn't hire a legitimate head coach to replacement McClellan, so this season is a bust in my opinion. So for Dubois, it's all about how strong he finishes the season.
The PLD hate is annoying. The dude is putting up as many points as our other top players, he isn't making dumb turnovers like Fiala. He's making smart plays and even if his goal scoring not being at his usual, he's making great plays every game. Dumb plays and turnovers are what's killing us, not PLD.
The irony is the last two games were his best games since coming in. Yes, he has a rep, and we've seen it even during the streak earlier in the year. They need to up his PP time and 5v5 (as well as upping Phil's), and lowering Anze's 5v5 and PP. We need him more on the PK. PL was brought in the help balance the the roster's pivot ice time in all situations. But Todd has run Anzer into the ground with his TOI, and it's starting to really show now. (We saw this last year when Gavrikov was brought in. It should have lowered DD's TOI, but it seems like he's played even more since Vlad came in.)
