…the jersey is quite stained. I haven’t seen it in person yet, so I don’t know exactly *how* bad it is, but the photos look rough. What are my options here? Try to wash the jersey with some high-grade cleaner? Take the nameplate, number and C off and have them re-embroidered on another jersey? Obviously I would love to keep the jersey as is if I can, but I’m a total noob with this stuff, so any help would be appreciated!

I think there’s a couple sites where you could get the jersey repaired or restored. Alternatively, I’m betting you could find some tutorials on YT to walk you through the process itself.
I’m a jersey collector and a frequent contributor on r/hockeyjerseys.
I have that same jersey, and another 90’s Yzerman Barberpole that came stained as hell. I got them both looking fresh and white and crisp.
Here’s what you do:
1. Get a tub or a bathtub and put a scoop or two of Oxyclean in about an inch of the hottest water you can get, then wait for it to dissolve and let it cool down. Fill the rest of the tub up with cold water, and make sure the water is cold to the touch, all the way down to the bottom. Put some detergent in as well.
2. Turn the jersey inside out, and make sure to put something down in the tub to weigh it down so the entire thing can be submerged. I use a few hockey pucks.
3. Let the jersey soak for about 5-6 hours, repeat for something stained like that, but one time should get most of if not all of it.
4. Take the jersey out of the tub and put in the washer on delicate (with it still turned inside out), cold wash, cold rinse (do NOT use hot water, your jersey will turn pink).
5. After its done, **put on a hanger to dry**, do NOT, I repeat, ***DO NOT***, put jerseys in the dryer. Those old CCM’s are heatpressed so all of the glue will start to peel, and the air knit fabric could burn.
It should look as good as new after that. I’ve done several of these.
But nothing ! Grab it for me !
The back looks okay, just buy it and hang it somewhere with the front facing the wall! 😀
Hydrogen peroxide and a toothbrush
Buy it and a tub of powdered oxy clean. Soak it for a day and then run it through a few cycles and pray to your god of choice.
