I wanted to criticize the defense here for leaving Kane open in the middle, but watching it he kinda comes from the left and cuts in at the last second. Which, still is on the D to not tie him up, but the credit for that goes to McDavid. Every single persons eyes were on him. IMO if it were any other player, that D man would have been more aware of the other forward coming into the slot and closed the gap (or tried). But he wasn’t even looking around, just staring at McDavid doing disgusting moves.
