    This… sounds like he’s signed!?

  2. PaperMoonShine

This is a dangerous precedent we’re undertaking. Having such a god of Hotdogs so close to a costco foodstand cannot be treaded lightly. Such a close encounter could cause things to go critical, and cause a hotdog chain reaction that consumes the entire city!

  3. xzElmozx

Bro showed up to the meeting at the arena, saw the Costco dogs in close proximity, and signed immediately. We’re gonna ride a Phil the Thrill dog-fuelled wave to the cup baby

  4. julesieee

Lulys hotdogs in Abbotsford Centre: 🤑🤑🤑

  5. Only-Nature7410

I think its a good move. Don’t think he will take up much cap. Why not.

  6. NinCross

This has potential to be the greatest Canuck season ever.

  7. TheHeyHeyMan

Fuck yeah boys, plan the motherfucking parade!!!

  8. -GregTheGreat-

He’s beloved in the locker room, should sign for near league min, and is still a competent enough hockey player to sub in when injuries hit. He’d unironically upgrade our PP2. Zero issue from me

  9. Dustedshaft

Is he really gonna work with Tocchet? Tocchet sat Kuz for his lack of forechecking and defensive play, Kessel isn’t exactly known for either of those things.

  10. cburry99

Ill be waiting in the abby costco food court for this week then

  11. No-Mastodon6734

God I hope he is just lights out on the PTO and brings us to the promised land

  12. shorthanded

Costco shares are going through the fucking ceiling

  13. phantomgiratina

Will Joshua have to give up his number for Phil?

  14. DanielTigerr

Don’t sleep on the A&W Whistle Dog.

    Multiple locations in Abby.

  15. Guentzel Petey Kessel would be a nice line 👀

He might fall in love with Abbotsford and want to stay there instead. It does have fine dining like… Greek Island… and… Seven Oaks Mall… and a 17 hour wait in the emergency room at the Hospital… and sometimes people put up like 100 crosses at Exit 52 to mourn abortion being legal. I love my hometown.

  17. Wow. Didn’t think we’d actually get this far to possibly sign Phil. As long as the price is right, he’d be another cool addition of the ex-Pens club.

  18. Davies301

Start him in Abby where Costco is 5 mins away and he has to work for the promotion to the big club so Costco is only 5 seconds away. Perfect motivational strategy.

  19. Greenarrowfan

Is he going to be signed soon? before trade deadline?

  20. WZRDguy45

I’m not sure where he’d fit tho. I can’t see him fitting in our top 6. We’re not breaking up 3rd line. I guess 4th or just a depth player?

  21. TheMemePrince

I’ve liked Phil ever since he played with my favourite player Mason Raymond. It would be so cool to see him in a nucks jersey. He had wheels back in the day but I’m sure he can still score.

  22. PaperweightCoaster

    It’s happening! It’s happening!

  23. NerdPunch

Awhile back, I was saying that it would be a savvy move if the team could move off of Kuzmenko (as part of a bigger deal) and bring someone like Kessel/Kane in for fraction of the cost to replace Kuzmenko.

After the Lindholm trade, you’re essentially able to sign a Kuzmenko replacement in Kessel, and it’s not a big deal if you healthy scratch Phil.

  24. Holy shit Phil is going to lift the cup one more time

  25. Someone has to make a meme of one last ride of Phil in the hotdog car

  26. mediumyeet

I’m assuming he’s already signed a pto and if all goes well we will sign him to a deal. Probably league minimum with performance bonuses since he’s 35+.

  27. misterchillll

What are the odds we see him in an Abbotsford uniform this weekend?

  28. CrazyPeekles

Can someone fill me in on Kessel? Why is he such a wanted addition when he’s unsigned currently?

  29. CamaroGirl96

It’s kinda funny that when the Canucks approached him in the summer he’s like thanks but no thanks. Now we’re number one and he’s interested lol

To be honest I don’t understand the hype about him and he hasn’t played in like 10 months. But everyone else seems excited so we’ll see how he does I guess (if he signs of course).

  30. DiamondDash2k

Waiting at the Sumas Abbotsford Costco for Phil to sign my hotdog

  31. Hyperocean

I think I died in a work accident last fall and this is all some sort of prolonged fever dream ..

  32. NoSpills

I am a Flames Fan who hated the Canucks for decades. The Canucks were a team that was almost on the same level as the Oilers (Yuck). But for the past few seasons I’ve been feeling so much differently… Falling in love with Tanev and Markstrom, JT Miller, Hughes and Petterson on my fantasy team, and this crazy fun season your team has had this season has totally changed my mind. I fucking love the Canucks, they are my second team, I want y’all to win the cup! Adding Phil is just the icing on top.

  33. craoloro

If he signs & plays with the squad, I wonder what number he’d take given that 81 & 8 are taken.

  34. I will say he chose the perfect day to come to Van, first bit of sun and warmth in awhile

  35. ArchimedesHeel

Man if Kessel eats a couple Costco hotdogs out of the cup in Vancouver it truly would be the best timeline.

  36. ClosPins

If the Canucks sign Phil – and if it ends up winning us a Cup – just watch the NHL slap retroactive cap-circumvention penalties on us for the next generation!

  37. Never thought I’d hear Phil Kessel and Abbotsford together in a sentence.
