[The Mailman] Wait until Sens fans find out Greig was pulled aside by both his GM and Head Coach and scolded for his empty net goal. Not to mention this is perceived as another reason the team is desperately seeking leadership because Staios hates Brady’s broken captain culture.

Post this in r/NHL and see how quickly it gets taken down or downvoted into oblivion.

I’m flabbergasted at the amount of ‘fans’ who want this kind of classless show-boating to be a regular thing in the NHL.

Act like you’ve been there before. Be Barry sanders, not Terrell Owens

Both things can be true. You can believe the Greig was showboating and that it was completely unnecessary especially when you’re on a basement-dwelling team.

But you can also think that Mo’s response was disproportionate and deserves some kind of discipline.

All you had to do was watch the post game interview from Giroux to know that he was well aware it was completely peewee bush league bullshit.

The fact that not a single player actually condemned what Rielly did says it all. The only people making a big deal out of this are fans because they hate the Leafs.

Brady Tkachuk is -3 and has over 100 PIMs. All you need to know

  6. im_bozack

Ha. Sens fans and rhockey won’t acknowledge this at all

  7. Hoardzunit

My guess as to why they’re taking so long is that they’re editing a video and trying really hard to justify a long term suspension with an explanation as to why they’re doing it that way.

  8. Jx_Wafflez

Is there an actual source that this happened?

  9. The Sens fans and other fan bases have shown how ridiculous and out of touch they are while blinded with hate for the Leafs.

Example 183749 of the negative repercussions of nepotism in the workplace. Brady Tkachuk with a different surname doesn’t even have an “A” on his jersey, and let’s be honest, probably isn’t even playing in the NHL let alone a captain. Next let me tell you about nepotism in the Prime Minister’s office and how well that’s worked out…

What exactly is Brady’s broken captain culture?

  12. thelonelywolf96

There’s no such thing as a Sens fan. They’re just disgruntled Leafs fans. Lol.

  13. Gosedjur

Honestly showboating is for entertainment, Rielly and fans calling this classless don’t know what sports is!

  14. ReformedGalaxy

Is Brady Tkachuk really a bad captain? Yeah, he’s young and has some learning to do, but he plays like a leader. Hits, fights, scores goals.

  15. mass1030

And the Leaf’s leadership group is any better? Come on…

  16. Yumhotdogstock

I haven’t commented on this because, LOLz, the Sens.

But really, if some busher wants to take a slapper at an empty net, be prepared to take your lumps. When did this become controversial? He wants to showboat, of course he deserves a shot. Fuck, act like you’ve been there, not some 12 year old lighting it up against a team from Timmins.

I don’t understand why this whole situation is still being talked about. Makes the leaf fans saying that everyone is obsessed with them seem real validated.

  18. Jam_Marbera

Yall are still mad about this lmfao whiny ass babies

  19. Barilko-Landing

Is there any factual evidence to back these issues claims?

  20. timoseewho

I don’t watch enough hockey to know this, but does a slap shot into an empty net never happen in the NHL?

I don’t know if I’m only hearing about this because it happened to the Leafs or if it’s just that rare lol. Or is it because there was a direct response to it?
