My first memory was Don Lever, but #9 is forever Tony Tanti in my 1980’s youth mind.

Millsy, Kassian, Hodgson, Pyatt, that’s literally all I can remember lol.

Miller is on his way to a ROH, not a jersey retirement. He’ll most likely finish his career top 5 in Canucks scoring.

For a number that usually evokes memories of great players on most teams, the Canucks really have let pretty much any dick head wear it, eh?

Rusty, awesome – him and Geoff were epic if any of you saw them play in person

Miller really revived the stain of the recent history of this number. Hodgson, Kassian, Prust and Leipsic were the last ones to wear to this number before him.

Now the real question is: will Miller’s #9 be retired in the rafters

my childhood brain *swears* Jan Hlaváč wore 9 for a brief period but it was, indeed, Mike Stapleton.

If we ever go on another cup finals run, I think you gotta retire his number. Dude went from top 6 forward to elite first line player as soon as he got here. I think Miller actually really likes paying in front of us rather than other fans, even tho he doesn’t like interacting with us lol
