  1. The second line is looking terrible, Malkin can't malkin, smith is a complete passenger and doc can't carry a 2nd line no matter how good his forecheck and puck retrieval is. I thought together they looked pretty bad, worst line of the game. I will say on the pk and defensively in the third DOC earned his paycheck. But something needs to happen with malkin and smith because those two have no chemestry at this point. DOC can go to any line and be a contributor if the line is functioning but again he can't carry a line on his own. I'd be interested in seeing some different configurations but smith hasn't looked good anywhere he has been and seems to drag each line down.

  2. oh and letang and jarry were studs last night!!!
I think a line of Doc-eller-Jesse P. would be a more than solid 3rd line, hard to play against and aggressive.
I can't believe that smith-malkin-rak doesn't work, on paper that should be a very good 2nd line.

  3. Holy crap that 2nd line was almost useless. Geno only turned it on for a few shifts after it was 3-0. It’s like he just didn’t want to be left off the score sheet. Geno needs to change his game up. He’s still trying the same moves that he was doing 10 years ago. The league has caught up and the book has been out on him for long while now.

C’mon Malkin! Wake the frick up
