Utah Grizzlies
Phoenix is an amazing city with a good fan base. The Coyotes do a horrible job of community outreach and obviously the roster isn't good enough. Building a winner in Phoenix is very possible with the right leadership. In my opinion they aren't trying .
This Franchise has been a joke since day 1 NOBODY wants this in AZ and yet Gary seems to think it ll work out. Just move it already.
Salt lake has 2 places they could play and I for one would support the move
Move em to Quebec or Hamilton!
Remembering back on my fuzzy memory.but when the kings had the ahl affiliate Phoenix roadrunners. It was one of the more popular ahl teams. The nhl probably saw that, and crushed the ahl team and brought in the coyotes. Maybe Phoenix is more an ahl town than an nhl one. What the nhl should now do is take over the team, move them to kc since they have a nhl stadium ready. Tell the slc owner he has one year to break ground, 3 years to build or no team. Gauge how kc fans are, if they pack it in, maybe slc gets an expansion instead of the yotes.
Why wasnt Quebec city given so many chances to stay ?????????
Well looks like this is the end of this era of Arizona hockey. Will Utah change the name or keep the coyotes name?
I was listening to an AZ-based Coyotes podcast and they mentioned that there was a smear campaign against the ballot issue last year that started early and was spearheaded by the contractors that didn't get hired to build the arena, etc. There may be more of a mess down there than just finding the land.
Utah Coyotes
Houston Coyotes
Kansas City Coyotes
Atlanta Coyotes
Hartford Coyotes
Quebec Coyotes
Good God! Move them already.
There are plenty of Yotes fans in Arizona. The thing is, noone wants to make the investment to give the team an arena they can call home.
Just move them to Utah, but keep the Coyotes branding and move the Roadrunners to either Tempe or Scottsdale to keep the Arizona hockey market alive.
For the past 10+ years this org has been the dumping ground for every hack GM to offload their bad cap hits and keep their team potentially as a cup contender. This is deep down why the league & Bettman sat on their hands for so long. Even though relocating Arizona would have been a better long term solution to grow league revenues and have the cap increase naturally.
If you're a Coyotes fan I truly feel bad for you. But it's time to move on.
End the madness….the desert 🏜️ isn’t working. Sorry Yokes but it’s not going to work no matter what they do.
Without the coyotes, we don’t have Auston Matthews
All the Canucks sno-nirds are in Mesa/Apache Junction. Tempe was closer to that – north Phx is not ideal.
Anyone who wants to take 5 min to research the last effort to build a SO- CALLED Privately funded arena for this team knows behind the curtains they demanded $500 MILLION in tax Breaks lol they the owners you called a Billionaire simply refuse to use HIS own money and cant seem to get off the addiction of getting hard working Tax payers money ,THAT'S why the last proposal failed .
'Yotes outta get out of Phoenix until ownership/arena issue has been settled.
This is BS !!
Please, just get it done already.
To me the Yotes in Utah makes a lot of sense. They stay in the Central Division, you can create an Intermountain rivalry with Colorado, and Utah can actually support a major pro team. I lived there for a few years and they love Winter sports. I wish the best for the Yotes and their fans.
My poor desert dogs… I really hope we arent heading to SLC
If this team moves anywhere but Houston, I'm gonna be heartbroken. I'd rather they stay put than go to Utah.
I could easily see them being the coyotes still but not in Arizona. (Forgive me first time in my life that a change like this happened and I remember (the thrashers was when I was 8 so don’t remember the situation)) but I could see them moving home to Utah and being the “Salt Lake Coyotes” or “Utah Coyotes”. Unless that’s not possible and they “need” to change names
Ignore the outside noise. Get updates from Craig Morgan. He IS the only way you will get the most accurate information and which that is what Shannon will relay to you. Lots of false stuff being pushed out there in the past week by the national media. I know Shannon will do his part here. I'm ignoring the comments below from those not paying as close attention to what is really happening and being reported from the ground. And don't tell me I don't know s*** because I am and have been since the beginning.
As always, thank you for putting out this video, Shannon.
If they move to Utah, I hope they keep the Coyotes name and Jerseys, it would be a crime to lose those
One thing Shannon.
The appraisal for the land that Muerelo wants to buy has been ongoing since January.
But they are not done yet with that. Thats why they cannot put it on the agenda and schedule an auction.
A lot of the infos out right now is guesswork and i get why they do it. But for now all we know is basically nothing.
So for now i am content with waiting and seeing were this goes.
But should the team move, i will be done with NHL hockey and go back watching International games and the DEL.
Yearly Coyotes arena clusterfuck video
Utah has had hockey, owner Art Teese, CHL, SALT LAKE GOLDEN EAGLES, PLAYERS, JOE MULLEN, HALL OF FAME, PIZZA PALAZARI ,BLUES ORGANIZATION.
Coyotes organization should ask John Spano for help/advice.
RICK BOWNESS, COACH OF JETS
Come on we all know it’s not going to work there. This is just so ridiculous. Sorry to the fans but they have to move. How much longer can this drag on. Bettman is clueless. Move them already. So places want a team and have an arena, Houston, Utah, Quebec Hartford
If I were a yotes fan I'd be so embarrassed. It's time to move to a market that has an arena that at least is more durable with the Delta center seating 14,000 for hockey until the permanent plan is in place.
I like the Coyotes, they've been to a Conference Final but I think it's time for a move for them… Then after that, Columbus
Con artist owner refuses to just build a hockey arena, no it has to come with a whole slew of other buildings, casino, hotel, condos, shops, just endless stuff to rob the rubes.
At this point, it’s not a question of if, but rather, when they move. Hopefully, the Utah Coyotes.
Very interesting. Thank you Shannon!
I can't see how they are going to be able to cough up an arena in the very near future so I guess the only option left is to move the team.
But doesn't Salt Lake want to start as an expansion team?
Anyhow it's going to be interesting to follow this.
Land available to build site of old state prison for development
At least the Kachina will be a nice throwback reverse retro design for whatever city the Coyotes end up going too!
i know this will be unpopular opinion on this channel, but i really hope they move… as long as its to a traditional cold city. if its just to Houston or something like that then i guess i hope they stay for their couple fans
Just call it a day as a failed attempt and move them to Quebec City!!!
I was a Ticket Holder
Won CHL Championship
Novel idea, but if they needed a quick out, could Quebec City work in the same way Winnipeg worked for Atlanta? This way the big new markets could have shiny new expansion teams. Not that the Coyotes are all that bad; they’re looking to be a good young team, but this way they don’t inherit a team that historically hasn’t won anything. I think QC would rally behind a historically bad team, especially considering the woes they experienced when they had a team.
Rick Bowness played in SLC, JOEY MULLEN, PLAYED HERE.
I've been a Coyotes fan since I was born, and I'm 23. I grew up in north Phoenix, played hockey growing up because of the Coyotes, and my Dad had season tickets throughout my childhood. The Coyotes helped me bond with my siblings and stay close with my parents into my adulthood. Some of my fondest memories in my life take place around hockey. If my team moves, I can't guarantee I will continue to care as much as I do about hockey in the future. As unstable as the franchise has been, this team has been very important to a lot of people, including the current best goal scorer in the NHL right now.
Red wedding 😅 ~~ Just get it over with and welcome the Utah Jazz Hands to the NHL.
Hopefully the Yotes relocate.
