Uh oh, Donny Meatballs is “pissed off”. Maybe he’ll send a message by pairing Erik Johnson with Rasmussen Dahlin and putting Comrie in net.. let’s see how this plays out
On a serious note, they had a ton of shots and only lost 2-1, but they don’t get the benefit of the doubt anymore as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been done with moral victories for a while now.
Also know I’m going to get ripped by this subreddit, but sometimes the truth hurts. This organization is not serious right now.
New GM, new coaching staff, and we need to start holding ownerships feet to the fire. Way too many people are willing to look past Pegulas mismanagement of this franchise because he saved us.
I’ve been in management now for 15 years in my private life. I’ve been with my current company through a lot of ups and downs. Generally speaking, when things aren’t going well it’s the perfect time to step back and have some tough conversations about the direction of your franchise, goals, and steps you’ve taken (or not taken) to meet those goals.
I’m just not sure the Pegulas have the stones to do this.

This season has the same vibe as 2017, in that they seemed to have built a core, had a good season the year before getting close to the playoffs, and then regressed anyways.
I’m no scout and I don’t care if my opinion is less wise on this than the next guy, but that’s a sign to me that this isn’t the core you’re looking for. You have a chance to take a big step forward and you take a big step back, that just means these guys aren’t going to be contenders. Even if they squeak into the playoffs eventually, this isn’t your contending core.
That’s how I felt in 2017, and that’s how I feel now. Might as well tune out a few years.

The season was over when they were well below .500 in November. Any claim otherwise is copeium.

They’re being fucking weird and I wish they’d stop it. Allow me to explain:
Under normal conditions a human being will attempt to exit a house which is on fire. Assuming that an exit is not possible a reasonable person will do their best to perhaps put out the fire. Not taking steps to survive when those steps exist is not normal.
What we have here is a GM who won’t make any roster moves to improve the team, a coach who will not try different arrangements of players to get different results, and an owner who is totally and completely fine with both of the prior points.
No one in a position of authority to do so has tried anything to get a different result than the one we have gotten to this point. That’s insanity, unless of course this is the desired result.
Which is how it looks to me right now. It looks to me like either losing is the desired result or they all have massive head injuries which render them unable to attempt any steps whatsoever to improve their fortunes.
This team makes me feel like I am taking crazy pills.
