Kucherov wasn’t going to win the hart anyways. Canadian bias plus poorly marketable star (just look at the ASG) plus Russian plus he plays for a small market team.

No one is asking players to finish their check or block shots in the All-Star game. But, you’re already there anyway, is it really so hard to put in, even 80% effort, for a skills competition? The game is in a different city each year. Do you want everyone but the home players acting like assholes every year? Kuch should respect the day, or stay the fuck home.
That being said, whatever happens in a fun day should have no input on winning the Hart.
