It was absolutely the right decision. His play was diminishing over the last 1.5 months and instead of letting him sit, let him take on top line minutes so he can grow, develop and get his confidence back
I think he's forcing players to work harder so they develope and hit their potential. Which we really need
Love Torts, but he is not the easiest coach for a young player to develop under, even with Torts knowing his marching orders are to develop the young players in the organization. And with Brink and Frost, they are not defensive forwards and their offense will come only if they get ice time, including power play time. I agree with everything you guys have said, except for the Deslauriers comment about Brink getting his ice time. On the current Flyers roster Brink has to get his ice time over a top six forward and the one that come to mind is Atkinson. I'd also say Lycksell, but could you put Brink on a line with Frost and Atkinson. Another thing that obviously hurts Brink is his size, with the number of smallish forwards already on the roster.
Nothing against Bobby Brink but if the Flyers have something good in a Trade I go , a Guy like Arthur Kaliyev in L.A. or Jonatan Berggren in Detroit, maybe only Brink is not enough Danny use your imagination but something is sure we need to improve at the forwards position, need size and speed Brink he dont have enough speed for His size and we have too Many small forwards 🤔🏒🤷
